I'm starting a rave.

In Coventry, my hometown, will be late summer when i get the funds. Just wana see who would be interested in traveling up/down here ( I've noticed most people on here are from London). I haven't booked nobody yet, but my ideal line up would be similar to the recent Chockablock/Wow Rave. Also anybody who can give me advice on this sorta stuff I'd appreciate it.

Its possible but not easy, particularly when establishing the night

i'd be unlikey to reach unless the lineup was something special. My advice would be to start small & build it up rather than booking loads of people to begin with

I wouldnt even book MC's really except Newham Gens, I'd book DJ's like Logan & possibly some dubstep DJ's.

Thing with having bassline at your event in Coventry is that you are gonna need top security, basslien event security there is mad. Birmingham heads arrive and fuck up the whole thing, ive been to 3 bassline events in Cov's, everytime the doors been locked of around 2 becuase of rukus of the 200 birmz heads who think shouting "Burger Bar" or "Johnson" will get them inside for free. Best crowd control is dogs, only saw them at one of the raves and boy those guys shouting "Burger Bar" suddenly turned it babies.

I would say that it would probably best booking purely DJ's, or the MC's that will actually give a show, rather than the guys that will bring ten other guys and turn it into a rabble fightin for the mic. Different rooms would be needed really, Dubstep, Grime, Bassline.

Yes, definitely, I know a few guys who are up for it definately. Also a few local dj's, im thinking of letting the local peeps warm everything up from about 8-9 until people start turning up, theres a lot of talent here (Check out cubz,trixstar and reapa don!)

Security will be tight,very tight, i don't want somebody's life or a bad injury on my conscience. I know a guy who's dad runs a door firm so that should be sorted soon. Also i am definately doing 2 maybe 3 rooms, Grime,Bassline/funky house and probz dubstep too. Theres a big dubstep following here.

Ye this place had 2 dogs outside, then theyd built a caged walkway into the venue, that was the only way through. Thw thing that troubled me most was the gyal tryin to barge ther way through, who the hell would wanna dick a thin like that.

I'm not so sure you know. I've been ikon when skepta,dj q and mc bones were there and it wasnt exactly packed in there. Then i've been demand to a bassline rave and its always packed in there! I was thinking either demand,innovationz, ikon or the dog and trumpet if i can't get any of the others.
