He is jumpin on the grime - bandwagon. He knows it pulls in ratings n thats the only reason. He hasnt got a clue about the scene but its good that he actually acknowledges it and is promoting it to a wider audience!

I don't know. Based on his interviews with BBK and past shows, I can't tell. To be fair though, I think it could become his side project. At New Year when he was in Bournemouth I asked if he was gonna play any Grime, and he played a few old bangers (the usual lot) in a mini segment (well, about 20-30 mins...don't remember...was drunk + just hypin and ravin).

I voted C, but it could be a slight interest. About the bandwagon thing - Skepta told him he should start playing Grime and Westwood said "I don't wanna be a bandwagon guy" or something along those lines, and Skepta reassured him. So who knows. I'm not sure he'd lie about bandwagonning on Grime for this long. Lying back then and now starting to do it seems to excessive, so perhaps he's starting to be on this thing we call Grime.

Too many people jumping on the bandwagon of 'Westwood's A Dick, Westwood's A Cock'. Like I checked his Bebo profile a while back and there were lots of 'I Hope You Die' messages. Yes he does have a stupid voice and can be irritating but what he is doing is of benefit to the scene and surely once it's big it will provide a platform for better DJ's to rise up through.
Instead of dismissing a new dedicated legal Grime show, which if I'm not correct people were asking for, we should be trying to support it and help it grow.

Anyone who says he shouldnt be doing what he is doing is an idiot period!

He is a bigger name than logan probably ever will be so thats the first reason for having him in the scene.

Second is this, he has a wide range of listeners that love him off differently. They might be flicking through the channel on dab or digital tv and see westwood is on, they will lock in just coz they love westwood, when they get there they will hear that he isnt playing his usual selection, some will lock off but some will stay tuned in and that will be one brand new listener to grime music and that is purely down to westwood and his status.

Also he does have a name in america and he is the only person who could help push the grime sound over there coz 100% knowone else could manage that (not saying he will be able to push it over there though, just has a much better chance than anyone else)

And third his radio shows are entertaining no matter what people say. I didnt used to listen to his rap how but I now lock in every week to his grime show coz hes funny and I like seeing how mc's boy him to his face and he doesnt have a clue they are taking the piss or think hes a cunt lol.

They're pretty much happy to make an appearence every now and again and disregard pirate/internet radio all together.
