RIP Jakey

What Grime should every fan have?
Just made one in random so i could get all the classic Hip Hop albums so I thought why not have a grime one. Any newbies to Grime can read this thread and kow what stuff they should be listening to instead of having to wade through a lot of shit.

i gotta admit i was late on the grime downloading bandwagon, i used to blindly buy any old shit until '08 begun, then i saw the light and now i'm more selective with who my P's go to

How can you not like 2000 & Life?!?! It was one of the biggest CDs to ever drop in grime. Bonus tracks were hype... I'm Strapped, Baby Girl, Simple Minded MC's, Over, Watcher, Levels.... oh my days that whole CD was just too much.. hope you've heard it looool
Wrigley... he's hip-hop and grime and mixes it about.. some of his tunes are hip-hop, some of them are gime. You might not like hip-hop full stop (and prefer GRIME ONLY mc's) but you cant deny his talent on grime, his flow is impeccable.
Black The Ripper.. oh my days.. his flow does alot, seems to be like marmite with people though.. you love it or you hate it.
- Rules & Regulations - No way a legendary CD, if "grimey" is what your after it doesn't deliver to that in a way a CD that's "up there" would and had alot of let down tracks, when it came out I remember how everybody was saying it had flopped in a big way with only Flame Grilled Whopper, Celebrate, Badman and Babylon Burner being some of the only "good" tunes.
- Treddin On Thin Ice - So many mixed views on this cd that I wouldn't really say it's worth the title of legendary, think this one also depends heavily on taste... personally didn't feel it too much, felt really strange to listen to.
- Home Sweet Home wasn't really grime, it's a mix of many different concepts.. it has grime in it but I wouldn't say it's grime.... it has some good tracks but generally it's a bad "introduction to grime" as it doesn't represent grime on a whole (the general grime cd won't have a style anything like this CD) plus it has it's number of shit songs.

wrigleys good but his cd is never a must have grime cd
neither is any of black the rippers
2000 and life was raw but there was wayy too much hip hop
granted, rules and regs aint a classic but there is alot of bangers on it which make it a must have
treddin on thin ice is pretty much wiley at his peak and with his old style
home sweet home, apart from the poncey love tunes, was heavy

Well, it's not what I've come to expect from grime... I think there was talent there and it sounded good to people who could appreciate that type of talent, but personally I didn't like it because it's not what I expect to hear when I turn on a grime CD.

I just got into grime for about half a year now through dubstep. I've been listening to the Microphone Champion mixtape of Boy better know and am totally hooked. Now I'm lookin for Nocturnal's - Stay down the road (instrumental).
Anybody knows where I can download/purchase it?? I send him (Nocturnal) a message on myspace but got no reaction. So who can help me out!?!?!
