All this talk about Devlin's music being emotional is pissing me off......can't anyone else hear the total lack of emotion in this guys "deep songs".....when it comes to Grime the only song I've heard with emotion is Durrty Goodz Letter To Titch!
so allow it.......just allow it:D

Yeah maybe I should.
Maybe also people starting threads about an apparant Bassline track on Logan's show could stop running around in panic like he dropped a bomb on the scene. You know Logan's position on Grime, one bassline track showcasing a grime artist isn't going to kill it, so stop panicking.
'First it starts with 1, then 2, then maybe 3-4 bassline songs on the show'
 - Er, no.

I wouldn't say there is a lack of emotion, the sombre spitting ties in well with the sombre tone of the tunes he does
If he spat 'Community Outcast' bars about some old man falling in the mud the way Ghetto spits 'I'm Ghetts' he would sound like more of a plum
And it is only on them deep tunes he sounds all sad (or as you say 'like a robot')
Listen to Dealers and he spits some aggressive bars in a completely different way to 'Community Outcast'
Also, am I the only one (aside the haters) who thought 'Take Me Away' was poo? One of my least favourite tracks on the CD

it's cos he's so monotonous, and i find it difficult to give a shit about his nan
i quite liked the beat on the first tune though (second tune was dripping with whack juice)
and who cares about the bassline track.....it was just for the MC's to spit over, and it sounded good with DEE and Foots spraying over it

Logan played garage/bassline before, I remember him playing a Todd Edwards tune when Skepta was there and another one with Ghetto.
It's not like he is going to turn his show into a bassline show, Logan is full on grime more than 99% of the scene.
It's one instrumental, get over it.

Griminal has absolutely no mainstream appeal what so ever lol. His interview's are actually cringeworthy, wouldn't be a good look for the scene!
But yeah on sets he fucks them up 'cos he is puuure hype. When it comes down to it though Devz will produce a much better mixtape/album every time.

have u seen interviews with 'popular' indie bands...their not exactly particularly intersting e.g Arctic monkeys but its the music that should count.
thats why chippy is sooo far ahead of grim cos hes got his (rather large) boat everywhere!
anyway devlins chav tales and ramblings dosent neccesarily make him a deeper artist....he reminds me of when i write an essay and i replace words with more intellectual sounding words....(Grime) music dosent work like that

Na some of Devz tunes are deeper and I think it's good to have a BIT of versitility on your CD 'cos it gets boring having the same kind of tune on repeat. Devlin is overly deep, he writes about his life, how he feel's about thing's and put's his emotions into his song's. How else could he depress you?
When he's on set or stage he fucks it up.
