Ok I'm well known for my articulate conversations and how i spark debates on the grime forums!!! this time i have something interesting to say which i want to hear all off your opinions on.

I'm a huge fan off grime (and hip-hop) and i play my little part for the scene by buying mixtapes/albums by artists i like. For me to buy into an artist it obviously means i've taken an interest in them and can relate to them to an extent; from their lyrics.
I'm not gonna lie sometimes i have been influenced by some off the lyrics in this journey they call life, and use it to guide me (think Ka-no real talk, Ghetts lifes a test, skinny sort).

Now i'm not saying that when a yout listens to nuff greaze-gun-shank lyrics they aregonna go out and bore a man, as they truly are retared.

But to the mature heads on here do you think some off the songs/lyrics by your fav artists has LITTLE bit of an influence in your life?

Discuss?

i ain't no yout, and i don't live in London...but grime had a positiveinfluence on me, close on a year ago. Let's just say I was going through bad times. I'd moved, and I was still packing all the grime CD's my ex-flatmate had burned for me.
It was Wiley's stuff that got me into it, Creeper vol.1 especially, and for the first time i was hearing and understanding the lyrics- to look out for yourself and keep moving and fuck everybody else WASTEMAN.
It was a wake up call and the music gave me energy and motivation.
That is all:D
