well not being funny....but London is the capital city...that is kinda obvious. But still in Bristol, weve got loads going on. We have some huge nights going on, BodyNod for example. And if you like dubstep, Bristol is dubsteps 2nd city, and theres some wicked dubstep nights here. Serious, do not close your mind off just cos you dont know about it. Ok so we arent as big as London, and maybe our grime artists arent as big or as many, but its definitely worth reaching!

Lost...

Bristol is famous for being on point with underground/electronic music

Roni Size & bare other Drum & Bass heads, Portishead & Massive Attack other Trip Hop heads actually had people calling it the Bristol sound in the 90's & their Dubstep scene is fucking massive atm, freshest producers in Dubstep are from Bristol

Anonymous

Im talking for the majority of genres. Not just Dubstep, Drum N Bass etc. I know Bristol is big on that, But London has a massive offering of everything from Hip Hop to Broken Beats, From Funky House to Soul & Jazz. I would say theres not one genre with a moderate following that is under represented in London.
Im not lost, Its my opinion on what Ive seen and heard.

Yes but by the sounds of things you haven't seen or heard alot, I ain't sending for you but you made a silly statement without any substance or much prior knowledge. Bristol underground scene is fucking booming on all fronts, all genres. You have to go there to experience it

I ain't been london in a while but IMO Bristol nightlife>>>>London nightlife

From I have been told and read, nowadays London is full of trendy/hipsters who go to raves for face rather than the music

fuck that

how you gonna say that

From I have been told and read
and then that

not even disagreeing with the point fully but you can't dismiss what he said because he hasn't "seen or heard alot" then go and say something about London when you admit you've seen or heard nothing

I do have a little prior knowledge, Ive been to a couple clubs in Bristol, Just tagging along with my mate who's a DJ, Last time being over a year ago, Yes it was quite good. But I've been to more clubs in London and Brighton and I prefer them as there is a much wider range of music. London is a cultural center of the UK, some say the world, so it all adds to the "experience" if you will, in terms of the music you get. Im not too bothered about the people in clubs because if your going to a club specifically for something like Jazz, then your going to be with like minded people who are feeling the music for what it is and as long there are some nice chicks there then Im happy as larry.
Again, its my opinion.

Edit: When I said what Ive seen or heard, I meant what Ive seen in my times out and what Ive heard and read in interviews, magazines etc.

What you trying to prove you prick. Shut your mouth cuz your chattin air your tryin to disregard Bristol as if you dont want new sounds and the music to be pushed further. People in London are too far up their own arses and they complain when Grime doesn't get recognised but they dont want to accept other cities have the same culture and music. This is fuckin England not America where we have states battyholes

You donut. Where am I trying to disregard Bristol? Where did I imply I dont want to accept other cities have the same culture and music? Where did I complain about grime not being recognized?
Your from Bristol so your going to try and defend your area, Cool. London is recognized throughout the world as being a city for great music and culture. Thats a fact.
