stryder can make tunes
but he dont have that x factor
The novelty of him being a kid wore off so now he needs 2 be doing something big because he doesn't have much charisma.
Hopefully the project with maniac will prove me wrong.

Completely agree with D-S here.
Always been a fan but yeah really lacking that x factor.
But still... when he comes in on a Ruff Sqwad tune hes still heat on the record!

I like Stryder a lot but he'll never be a top 5 or a superstar.

Yep, came out in February. I thought that was one of the better recent grime releases to be honest, Line Em Up and Sick In The Head are straight bangers in my book.

Insrtead of supporting one of the scenes most consistent artists and most reliable, with a constant stream of videos and material lately... all some people do on this forum is hope roadmen (esco, big h, r.a) who couldnt give a fuck bout grime will turn to the less lucrative grime scene

Tinchy Stryder is probably the most real guy in the scene right about now..
His flow is complex and sick, hard to follow and when u clock his bars theyre heavy.
his beats are sick, and his image is spot on..
I dont care if tinchy blows up commercially 2bh, hes got real talent and reps grime to the fullest.

Stryder's a badman. Veteran spitter in the game, never slacked.

he's painfully average. no stand out qualities at all
wish Maniac would have chose someone else to do his project with....

i think tinch's lack of charism is going to hold him back a bit, if he had more charisma he would be rated higher, nd have more potential to being more "commercially succesful".
But even though he spits in a monotone he is still a better spitter than certain people whose voices always change pitches.

also think if maniac done the project with Wiley it would be cold but i guess Wiley ain't got time for that anymore.

Strydz is definitely in my top 3.
He's been the front runner of grime's most consistent and powerful crew for years, is an old school veteran, and has a complex underground flow that even a lot of these skippy types can't touch.
Fuck if that's not commercially viable, who cares. Being concerned about succeeding commercially did a world of good for Dizzee and Kano's flow anyway, right?

yea troo say... his montone voice makes u wanna listen to his bars more closely cos u know theres something meaningful being spat there..
However on tuines like something about..., breathe and a few other he does use his voice a bit more diversely.
it will hold him back tho cos a lotta people dont actually listen to ppls bars i reckon.. they just follow the flow, voice and the odd phrase that they can catch.
Tinchy is better than a lot of rapper cos he doesnt serve his lyrics on a plate like jme/skepta/bashy and other big guys.. which explains why theyre bigger than him. the audience doesnt have to work to understand his meaning!
That applies to the hiphop industry too.. look at the biggest rappers - their bars arent very cryptic eg. ludacris, compared to cats like Raekwon who has very complex flows and bars..
Tinchy reminds me of Raekwon whereas Skepta is more similar to Luda. And before u lot start hating i aint talkin about content or anything!!!

Tinchy is so sick. Star in the Hood is a Grime classic. Cloud 9 e.p is sick. Just because he is a mellow character it doesnt men that he lacks charisma. You lot see Ghetto as being charasmatic but I just see him as being a hyped up clown. I think Grime could do with a few more calm characters

. Exactly it comes down to people's preference bars and content or if you want flow and voice.
and also i like tinchy's mellowness, it's like he's not trying to be anyone else and impress people and jus being himself.

he has
- slightly above average flow
- dull content
- good beat selection, although i thought alot of the production on Star In The Hood was quite boring
- dangerously low swagger levels
smh@people saying Tinchy's bars are "cryptic" or "complex"...

I don't see why everyone hates on Stryder tbh.
He's obviously not the most technically gifted mc and a lot of the time he does get carried by the production, but he puts the work in. Cloud 9 EP was one of the best recent releases (even if it has been dry this year lol).

and on top of that...the brotha is humble
sprays, gets on with whatever else he's doing and leaves it at that
"Tinchy tried to make mainstream money but hes just a star in the hood!" - sick line from Goodz
what the hell is Goodz sending for Stryder?
why does a simple title to a record stir up so much nonsense?

I dont think he's sending for him 2bh mate..
He's referring to the fact stryder released the single mainstream money to get big but is still only a star in the hood.
It was a rap up of 2007, sayin tinchy never blew up the way he'd like to. No one can deny that.
However, Ghetts says something about him being "on cloud 9... lemme ground him again"
Thats more likely to be sendage!!!
