ever get fed up of making grime??

seriously for like the last month or so... i just aint been as motivated to make grime beats as i used to

its actually startin to bug me a little now, i mean i still make beats but i find it proper hard to finish them or i finish them and then think they sound shit

im hoping its just a phaze and im using it to touch up on my deck skills and mess around makin other genres

does anyone else have/had this problem?

i barely make grime anymore merely because I've got little time, and when I do get time to produce, I'm making dubstep (releases dont write themselves).

Still enjoy making grime, but it's taking a backseat at the moment...

Yeah, I'm not always on this hype vibe. I like to make bubbly garage type music a lot of the time, and some RnB.

I wanna get into making a bit of instrumental music as well, like bassline, dubstep, electro, funky house, etc. because as Taz says
(releases dont write themselves).

But I need to get into ways of varying my music more.

i dont really make grime now...i find it too hard and unenjoyable to make.

i find dubstep more interesting, fun and easier to make.

same with hip hop

I've give up on grime, the scene is stupid and moneyless.

I think I only ever saw it as easier because it's more based in the country I live.

rah see now im relieved im not the only one who feels this way, but also its a touch worrying at the same time

i agree with demos and bruckfoot tho recently dubstep and even garage just seem more fun to make

also i think producers tend to grow out of grime the older they get, be interesting to hear the type of beats people like maniac will be making in 5 yrs time

lol yh no doubt

just pisses me off a bit cos i used to bang out like 10 beats a week now its 1 or 2

spose its just quality over qauntity and its interesting, like whateva genre i make i seem to bring a grime element to it which is a plus aswel

Grime is young music with a young mentality.

It's good when you're a yute and you can't go out and draw gash and get wasted.

When you can, you accept Hip Hop and enjoy it in the club, or even House etc. if you really want gash.

Also, you broaden your minds and horizons and subject matter / track emotion becomes more important than a sick flow and a few sendage bars.

It's life, don't worry.

Im working on funky house.

I like the idea that I can make dark or light sounding beats, I like the idea that I can send stuff out and it can get played in a club and people may be dancing to it having a good time to it.

I stopped making grime because Its not a scene I want to be involved in. There is no order. There is no one to send beats to unless they are vocalled by someone with a name. I don't wanna be 25 sitting at home sending beats to grimedizzle05 on msn.

i reached with a cd of 1 dubstep tune and 5 grime lol didnt tell him so he jus played the ones he liked

funny thing was the grime beat he played got a better reaction than the dubstep one lol

I feel everything you've just said. I'm on the club Hip Hop, Timbaland and Danja style shit more than house at the minute. I like that's it a bit more varied.

But I feel everything you just wrote.
