I wos just wondering, cah sometimes i got college early next day and its long to be listening to logan till 1, so could it be made into a podcast ting where you can download it off itunes automatically next day? that would be sick still. Like Aza T probably knows how to do it ...I think it would be big if he could.

Logan would have to agree, perhaps you could approach him.
Its a good idea.

Logan already has it up for download on his site right? so it would be like a similar ting...and it would be better publicity for him,Kiss 100 and Grime.

I dont mind setting it up for him but im pretty sure he knows how to do it...
i reckon this isnt something he hasnt thought about before though, perhaps he decided against it or kiss won't allow it...

Logan plans to get on itunes this year with Admantium, and up the digital downloads
Perhaps it could happen when he does that
Hij

i'm looking forward to that ! some tunes would well be worth the 79p or whatever it is on itunes.
especially if it progressed to mixtapes and you only want the big tracks and not the swag hip-hop.

do you need i pod to play mp3's bought off in tunes?or can you use a standard mp3 player?

i think they come as m4a files which you can then convert to mp3 in itunes. then you can play them on any mp3 player.
they used to have some sort of block on them but recently i think theyve taken that off so you can do whatever you like with them.

Would be good, having sets as podasts is better for my mp3 player because it always remembers where in the set I was before I turned it off or changed to something else, which it doesn't if it's loaded as a file.
Is iTunes still using DRM for paid for mp3s?

you sign up and give card details then it debits it straight from your account. im not sure of any other way.

most record labels have stopped that now, especially with new releases.

Great to hear, DRM was basically the only reason why I never used iTunes.
What is the quality (bit rate) saying?

Is the quality V2 VBR? Or is it some swag 128/192 CBR?

Just looked up, iTunes normal quality is 128kbps AAC/MP4 with DRM protection but iTunes Plus is 256kbps AAC/MP4 without DRM.
iTunes Plus is only available for specific releases (I think all EMI releases are included, not sure about other labels)

128?
I want fucking 320.
Wiz
24th January '08, 04:19 PM
It's a par innit, but apparently AAC and MP4 is better quality than MP3 for the same bit rate.
Hij
24th January '08, 04:22 PM
Ohhh, cool I didn't know that. 128 is like the standard isn't it?
Wiz

No idea, whenever I rip from my CDs to mp3 I put 192kbps, MP4 and AAC formats are unknown to me.
Hij
24th January '08, 04:28 PM
yeah 192 is the one sorry.

I don't understand why CBR is still used...VBR is more efficient. More bits where needed, less where not needed.
MP4 is a container for AAC (Advanced Audio Codec), which is the next step from mp3 (it's more advanced) but obviously less supported (Apple likes it though).

you know you can make normal tunes remember where you left them as well in itunes...you right click the tune, go to options and then click remember playback position, thats what i do for when i download sets. ;)
