Depends on how you look at it.

Off the top of my head.
I'd say Rap Dis is the most successful Grime record based on sales.
It was only number 12 in the charts but that was back in 01 and record sales were still decentish then. So it probably sold more records than POW or Oi, although tbh Oi might have sold more. One of them 2.
As for albums. I'm guessing Showtime or Maths and English.

pow

pow

Nah what number did POW reach? 11 in 2004.
12 in 01 or 8 in 02 would have sold a bunch more records then a single in 04.
I'm gonna check this out now.

According to Wikipedia Oi reached #7 in the charts in 02, I thought it reached #8 but in any case, I cant remember any other grime song getting that high so im gonna say Oi

Remedy - Strayt Riddims Volume 2.

Nah i dno. Oxide & Neutrino did have bare beats that were ahead of their time. but for pure grime, BIDC, 'Stop Dat' - hypes me all the time.

RISKY!

eskimo (and the various other versions of it) would probably be the biggest vinyl release by far

well none of us know the figures for any of these tunes so its just an educated guess

wiley did say once that it sold 50,000 but then alot of what he says can't be taken seriously

LOL @ people trying to claim "Rap Dis" as grime. The term grime wasn't even being used when that tune was released, and it's more like HH anyway.

LOL @ your theory, if that's the case theoretically BIDC aint Grime, Eskimo aint Grime, Pulse X aint Grime because the term Grime wasn't being used at the time. Rap Dis, Whoa, Dilemma, Oi are blatantly Grime in the very early early stages.

Back on Vinyl though I think Dilemma might have sold more copies than Eskimo man, remember it was an underground vinyl release and an official one on "Oh No".

eskimo sold the most vinyls not sure about the amount of units but I would say between 12k to 18k

cd single sales i would say 21 secs,

Ah man if we're counting tracks like 21 seconds then I'm 99 percent sure "Bound for the Reload" would be on top. Shit sold 250,000 copies.
Still not sure if Eskimo sold more than Dilemma, Dilemma was dropped at a time when every 11-25 year old had decks and bought vinyl.

It's gotta' be POW because it still sends non grime fans crazy when its played even years later. It's the one grime tune that if you asked anyone, they would know.
