Besides the fact that there were 1000+ downloads of pengfood what was the general opinion of the mixtape. I personally refrained from downloading and buying partly due to the fact i dont like mackster or any of the other youngers on it. I want truthul opinion, do you feel Frisco would have made 5000+?

Ive listened to it once through and i thought there was more from chipmunk and other guys than frisco himself, which kinda defies the point of it being his mxcd. I know Wiley adds alot of tracks to his Tunnel Vision from other people but u still get the feeling its his. Peng Food was just a bit too much of every1 else. Much prefer his Back 2 The Lab releases. Still worth a purchase though.

Again, Im certain it was a chance to showcase the youngers and for Frisco to do a different type of mix cd in between doing another back 2 da lab or whatever.

If Frisco thinks the 1000+ people who downloded it would have bought it he's clueless.
It's like free samples people give out in town, if you're walking past you'll take one, but that doesn't mean you would have gone into a shop and bought the same thing if it wasn't being given out for free.

If 80 of the 1,000 bought it, thats more money than I make in a week.

Yeah I'm not saying that none of them would have bought it, but the majority probably wouldnt.
Fair bit of money though yeah I agree.
Was it actually Risky spamming those links over RWD that day?

Free samples are often new products on the market. The company normally get people on minimum wage to give them out in an area where you just happen to be walking past, so you take it, and then if you like it, may decide to purchase one in future. They also write off all of the stock as they know no-ones going to buy it. The equivalent of this is a Promo CD put out by an artist.
The people who downloaded Frisco's CD, which wasn't a promo, seeked it out on a grime site for downloads that specfically gives out free cds. At least half of the people downloading must have heard of Frisco if they are on his page on a forum to download it, unlike me being given a new chocolate bar in town on the off chance Im in the right place at the right time.
While I agree not all of them would have bought it, thats 1,000 who didn't have too.

true stories, uk recordshop and avalanche have allow the exclusives. I bought scattered synths on time because it wasnt exclusive to any internet shop i want to be seeing more of this cause the independants that are still around can order them from the warehouses.

My favourite grime CD to come out since Devlin, copping it later on tonight
I would happily pay the 6 quid for 'Ages Ago' alone that beat is mucky!!
On a real though the beats are effed!!
Alot of the features aren't known people but none of them are so swag its unlistenable...
And you can't complain about features from people like BTR, Cookie & Big Rem

the beats on it are good, all have a grime feel but there's a lack of focus with the amount of emcees on it.

Yeah this bit I agree with
The mix tape is at best decent and if Frisco?s main intention on this mix tape was to change the position of his friends in the grime scene then it would?ve been better for him to release this as a free promo mix tape.

Yer but think how much money it takes to make a CD, its simple economics you can't realease every CD free
its only ?5.10
Thats not alot in the scheme of things

I dont agree with the free bit you know, but its a decent mixtape.
If Grimeminister says its 'decent' its probably good.
Whatever he says, add 20% more onto his rating.
