i hate net radio for the most part - texting in yourself is a 100 times better than some chatroom to type messages in
hearing it on a proper radio>>>>>
but dyou think therell be a time when there is no more 'normal' pirate radio? and everyone is just on net radio?
last thread from me tonight...

I rarely ever listen to radio, but when I do its pirate radio, I don't really bother with net radio because I always end up downloading the set the next day or whenever it is put on the net.

fm will become less significant in say 10 years or so though. technology will move on.

My sound system is all set up on my pc, so internet radio.
Rinse is the model for underground radio though, hard to find too much fault with what they do.

Why not??
Could have instantly updating SatNav maps etc.
internet radio, internet music playlists...
Problem with DAB is UK's swagged it up and we get pretty poor service/bitrates and limited to how many stations there can be. To be a pirate still, gonna have to go online really. It's all getting upgraded to DAB2 or DAB+ though at some point, which will make all current dab radios useless or in car ones...
But online at mo, with loads of 64kbps 32Hz mono streams online, it's hardly great either.

With a nice soundsystem, it's still kinda listening through this with more bass:

Because I don't see people paying for internet for their cars. Right now SatNav and Radio is free, we buy the hardware but the service comes free. Having internet would mean the consumer pays for the service, doesn't it?

I would surely just be a case of plugging your phone into the car stereo. Thats how I see it anyway
