LOL, how can this be the best 9 mins in grime history?? The internet grime fans might think so but if we're telling the truth here, most of you have never been to a proper grime rave and started listening to grime about 2 - 3 years ago. What do you know REALLY? Not much in my view and threads like this illustrate that fact nicely.

Best 9 mins my fucking arse!!!

im not having a pop at elijah or anything but, Anyone that thinks this is grimes best 9 minutes has very limted knowledge of the scene and the artist involved. Thats my view.

Danny Trejo
22nd March '08, 01:37 PM
definitely my favourite grime video, no doubt. there's better stuff but where else can you see 40 minutes of old school sets? (that's me asking for a link if it exists)

I remember recording the set and going mad in my room.

Bruv, if you wanna believe that then you can but believe me if i was having a pop at elijah i wouldnt say i wasnt, im not that guy.

All im saying is this video doesnt even figure in grimes best moments in my opinion and for people to think that it does means they dont know much about grime. Elijah asked a question, not sure why but he did and my comments are for the people that believe this is grimes best moment and if
elijah doesnt think that then he would have no reason to be offened.

ahh man.

I put it as a question. and then said discuss.

And I have an extensive knowledge of the scene. I grew up on it. I live in East London, I used to do pirate radio, I been in a grime crew ive been to most dirty canvas' ive been 2 tons of other events, copped pure vinyl and spent hours listening 2 radio.

Man was on uptown forums, rinse forum, den rwd now here.

I always try stimulate interesting discussion on grime instead of talk about who the top 3 are or whos shit. Not having a pop, but allow me, im here to push this thing forward aint that obvious?

I think its one of the best things in grime alongside the Will, Dizz & Slimzee set.
What better moments are there?
Terror S everyone is entitled to their oppinion and you cant go striking people down saying only internet grime fans respect this.

The Elijah

22nd March '08, 04:38 PM
I see what Terror Scare was saying, but to gun down people saying they aren't really grime fans is a pisstake to be honest

I could have only heard my first grime tune last week and then gone on to download every Deja Vu/Rinse set on the web...would that make me more entitled to an opinion

Just because you wernt there, doesnt mean you aint a 'real' grime fan, that ludicrous

terror scare. why aint ppl allowed to rate this as their best grime moment?

the set was alot. plus bare ppl on this forum have extensive knowlegde of grime. (i would like to think i do aswell). been listening to grime since 02 before "grime" even existed and this was a classic moment in the scene. hang tight everyone who heard it live

terrer s. whats ur best 9 minz?

My best 9 mins was proberly at one of the sidewinder's in milton kenyes around 5 years ago. The rave was packed out, me and my boys spent silly loot on v.i.p tickets but it was worth it. Slimzee was on the decks with wiley, dizzee, gods gift, dogzilla, viper, b live and some others. The rave was so sick. Wiley and dizzee killed the place with the "hello, hi" thing there used to do. The Street Beats launch night at ministry was massive, The sidewinder awards night was pretty sick aswell and the wiley Vs goods clash on radio is also up there in my top moments.

I never said no1 was allowed to rate this as their best moment, its not upto me.I think its one of the best videos but my view is, if this is ur best moment in grimes history you cant have experienced much grime, thats all im saying.

*Eiljah* like i said b4, i wasnt sending for you bruv. I will buy you a drink tonight to prove it:D

I totally understand that but you should understand that hardly anyone that has eperience as much grime as myself could consider this as grimes best moment to date. It's almost silly to say so from my point of view but like i said i understand, its hard to see things from a younger point of view sometimes.

Sentenced to prison for attempted murder in East London
Shot at point blank range before leaving the scene

Two men have today been sentenced at Central Criminal Court to 16 years imprisonment following the attempted murder of a young man in E13. Perry Nathaniel, 20 years (10.10.87), and Robert DOREY, 26 years (4.8.81), unemployed of no fixed address received their sentences for the attempted murder of 20 y/o Amadou Drammeh on 12.7.06. The court heard how Drammeh was sitting in the rear of a car that was parked in Mona St, E13. The driver had left the car to get some food. A grey Mini Cooper turned into the road, turned around and pulled up alongside the car. Witnesses then heard the passenger in the Mini (Nathaniel) say to the driver (Dorey): "Which one?" to which Dorey replied: "That one" pointing at Drammeh. Nathaniel then shot Amadou in the head at point blank range before leaving the scene. Amadou was taken to Newham General Hospital where he underwent brain surgery in order to stop the swelling and in an attempt to remove fragments of the bullet. He was later transferred to Royal London Hospital before being placed in a rehabilitation unit where he remained until December 2006.
On 17.7.06 Dorey attended Plaistow police station and was subsequently charged with attempted murder. Following an appeal on Crimewatch, on 11.11.06 Nathaniel attended Plaistow police station and was also charged with the offence.
Investigating officer DI Mick Millar, Trident said: ""Today's convictions are the result of the determination and commitment shown by the officers from Trident North Shootings team and I hope they send a clear message to those members of the community who believe it is acceptable to carry and use firearms that this type of activity will not be tolerated by the MPS. I hope the sentences imposed will also reassure the communities of London of our ability to bring those involved in gun crime before the courts and so encourage more people to report crime impacting on their neighbourhoods."
