I was speaking to guys about this mixtape project in 2006.
These guys have been on grime from day. I know a couple of them got bored tho when dipset season arrived.

Mister Lacey
21st March '08, 11:17 PM
The thing I'm finding it hard to accept is the way the MCs are approaching the beats. Proper laid back with it.

It's not bad though man.
It will just take a while like Tubbs said lol.

Mister Lacey
21st March '08, 11:59 PM

RIP Jakey
22nd March '08, 12:01 AM
Yeah probly would, would be good to hear it though just to judge. I do like most of the beats though thought they'd be alot more Hip Hoppy.

i cant tell if its a hip hop flow over a grime beat or its just an american accent doing a grime flow? ive never actually heard an american accent on a grime flow so i dont know what its going to sound like!
i think the guy in first city doing the beats is from london anyway.

It's a very good listen. Was feeling this from the first track. Sometimes they're flowing like on hip hop tracks, but it's still good listening to something different.

why u say americans dont care about grime?

u shouldnt bring up dizzie. i dont think he's making any grime at all, except for a couple from his first album. i thought people say he was a sell out....

we are trying to bring more people into grime in the states. alot of people are feeling it so far.

QUOTED FROM ENTITEE:

As far as the approach to the mc delivery goes, we just handled things the
way we do any beat whether it's grime, dubstep, dnb, hip-hop, etc. I pull from my experiences with music growing up and just spit what feels natural to the beat. This may sound different than what people are used to hearing over grime beats, but we aren't trying to be an imitation of anyone. I personally feel like it's all simply music with different tempos and sounds.

We are doing this because we love the sound. Much respect.

These US guys have been on grime, before a lot of the UK acts today have been.

Grime did spread over the US and Canada, but speaking to a few guys from Texas the Low Deep era kinda killed of a lot of interest because they sound changed from Eksi and Sublow to Dipset, and if they wanna listen to Dipset records they aint gonna spend all that money importing them from the UK.

Grime just dont sound right unless its with uk guys on it.
