Safe for the rip of the sets but Im gonna get controversial now...
Do you think rippin the tunes like that is good for the scene? Just as someone looking to put out tunes on vinyl (somethin I think is essential to build Grime back to where it needs to be) you really have to think twice if they have been uploaded for free somewhere. Now truesay these are radio rips and its not like we been chattin to these people about these tunes but hopefully you get my point. As soon as our releases are out on promo, gettin played on sets someone is gonna rip em like this and bare people will download em. Dependin on how good the rip is bare people then arent gonna buy it (on mp3 or 12)
What does everyone think? Do we really need every new tune with a ickle hype about it (or the artist) ripped individually so if it did get a release we woulda outplayed it anyways?
Not sendin Akka, just thinkin.

Alias, as it's already been played on radio, people could easily listen to the playback and skip to the certain part.

Think back to when people just used to tape the FM radio onto cassette... these rips harm the scene no more or less than rips always have done.

I disagree tho, big difference between Listening to a whole set and havin the tune named as that tune by that artist on my mp3 I think

Yeah I heard what Logan said, I kinda disagree still but really just wanted to hear other peoples thoughts so its cool.In the sense it can water down someones cd before its released I agree.

But then its up to the DJs to limit themselves to a couple.
And up to the artists not to put the best tunes on myspace before a release.

We are only listening to what the DJs have provided us.

i think its better as it kinda stops things from getting leaked so badly also artists can put the rip on there myspace with out putting the original file on there so it wont get ripped at better quality lol

how can it be bad for the scene.

I Can't Wait 3 Months 4 Most Of The Proper Tunes, But When I Do Buy The CD Most Tunes Have Been Rinsed Already.
