I think the rules about uploading etc should be added to the standard vB rules and then linked to when it comes up.

To the people saying about the extra boards...the current 'other' section isn't that full up, it's just not needed at the moment. You can just put [Football] in front of your post if you want for the time being.

Should be able to read your first PM you get, a welcome message from Hij. Hopefully should be able to read that, but then you can't send a PM till you get 10 posts, then your free to do everything as a full member.

Would be best to reduce the posts to only about 5 or less if we can soon.

The thing so you can see subforums on the main page is good.
Now I'd say it would be suitable to put the RSS feed forum as a subforum to the main grime discussion.
And make a suitable name for the forum containing the listening booth and production room, as it seems a bit weird having the room called "listening booth and production room".

Could have Grime Blogs and News as a subforum in Grime... Maybe. Listening booth used to get air though, until it moved till it's own room.

Also need a good name for Production/Listening Booth. Is easier to change the name now though with the Production and Listening Booth showing up in the sub forums underneath i guess.

If everything was sub forum of Random then wouldn't be as easy to keep an eye on whats new everywhere from the main page.

Although can think of ways to organise things as they get more cluttered.

Changing the name of Random room is bit pointless, picking another name will be probably copying somewhere else. Random describes it well really.
Sports room could be a good idea, even though football season is done and we're not in Euros.

like 3 or 5 would be better..... i just made an alias that i wanted to make one single thread with but i had to post 11 times and it still wouldn't let me make one

Yeah is early days. Could make start a secret Hall of Fame for Full Members to see, so that there's a few threads put in the bank for if there ever was a full Hall of Fame of threads. I'll speak with ppl tonight.

Yeah could lower it to about 5. Is there to stop spam bots signing up and making a thread of crap, or sending PMs of crap. Could lower it a little, and wait, see how it works out.

If it didn't upgrade you to being a full member right after 10 posts it's probably cause the program/script thing that runs to upgrade anyone who's hit 10 posts to full member and being able to make threads probably runs every 10mins ish or less. So sometimes have to wait a little till it takes effect, usually pretty quick when i tested it.

Although obviously we can't really promote having multiple accounts. Plus the fact that it causes there to be old inactve accounts on the forum. But also everyone enjoys a laugh.

I tried from RSS Feeds account, which is just normal member.
And i could edit thread titles. Just by double clicking around the thread title in the picture below, double clicking somewhere near but not so you click the link to look at the thread.

Just need to double click like you'd open MSN or something on your PC.

Took me a while to get clicking in the right place and at the right speed when i first became moderator, cause we had to modify a topic name from there.

Maybe a time limit on how quickly you can do it, cause when i went on RSS Feeds account, i went straight to blog room to edit a post title, and got what you said. But then when i made my own topic and tried it was ok. :confused:

Well out of 158 people online, 5 are viewing the new Site News Section. So most people seem unbothered by the change. Loads never leave the Grime subforum really i guess.

Admin look after the coding, the skins, generally the more techy stuff- just as important.

Yeah i don't get why it keeps resetting. It's getting fucking annoying. Cause you gotta adjust each moderators rep individually. Although if theirs reset, my Rep is still artificially high still.

Small talk thread would probably not work so well cause most little things that people wanted to know would probably never get looked at or answered. And anything important would get lost in pages and pages.

Anything important gets a thread and anything smaller and less important usually gets added in somewhere along the lines anyway.

RWD(ish) skin has been abonded by Admin team for updating, cause it's just not possible to do i'm afraid. And the company that make it, seem to be going through difficult times and don't seem to be updating their site, so we can't even buy a new version of it really.

Will keep an eye out though and do what we can for the people who enjoy using that skin.

I could do this myself I know but one of the mods make a thread in the random room entitled something like 'random thread' or what ever and sticky it. You know when you find just one funny picture but it's not worthy of a whole thread, or you're just fully bored and want to ask the most random question but don't want to fully clog up the page pushing down good threads.
