Yeah, I had to add write the poll up after the post was made (how the polls work with this forum) you were fast off the mark so saw the thread before the poll was finished.. minor really :)

I voted 1. Will be looking to put a rave on later in the year one the financial restrictions have lapsed.

Starting a label has crossed my mind but it would be completely impractical where i am geographically

stupid thread really?, just aimlessly injecting money isn't going to help grime further in any possible way.

that's why you get a precise aim and shoot at your goal, that way you will get the desired effect. :)

the problems in grime relate to the actual product (the music). I've offered numerous solutions to big and small problems but everybody wants to complain, pretend to be righteous but on the sly download and bootlegg

Although they won't be.

If its tiresome, don't go back into the thread and find something else that suits you more.

And yes, I like to do what I can for the scene if possible.

You make me laugh really.

Its comparable to bussing shots at Gordon Brown or the Queen and then signing up to the army still.

Forget:

a) trying to be mainstream
b) comparisons with UKHH/USHH

More:

a) Vinyls
b) Raves
c) Professional conduct - i.e. turn up on time..or at all in some people's case.
d) Hype!!!! I personally don't wanna hear you perform a 4 minute song about how you wear your own garms...I wana hear big selection and the hypest bars in the world.

Most of the things done by others i would part take in just because i don't believe in them as individuals.

It's that open door policy that Grime has suddenly developed that pisses me off.

The people getting involved at the top are just leeaching and because some fans have been soo deprieved all this time they wont bat an eye lid, instead they'll just buy into it instead of taking a stand.

BTW if i had my way things would be much better, i'd invest everything i was given to do something, and i'd make it credible i wouldn't sell my soul for a quick buck.

Musical integrity>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>anything else.

Im not prepared to fully back the scene when very few mc's actually really dedicate themselves to it.

If ur not releasing a cd every 6 to 9 months or a vinyl every 3 to 6 months and u do grime full time, then lets be honest u either dont care. or dont have the ability to produce music of the quality needed for a release.

If I could do one thing it would be to remove the stigma around the type of peopel grime fans are to the outsider people. People here are actually an intellectual bunch (well most of them). Are probably due more credit than they are given. If they do crime I don't think it would be grime that drove them to it/influenced it it would be other factors.

I don't see why the fans need to run the scene.

I would not go up and offer to manage my favorite indie band.

The scene is becoming a charity case. After all these years you would think these guys would have it on lock.

Most the grime scene don't deserve to live of their music.
