It was an un-believeable choice between Eskimo and Forward Riddim. The way I see it is no Eskimo = no Pow. Eskimo had that unique sound.

When I used to work I used to get on the 180 from the 1st stop in Lewisham to the last stop at Belvedere at 6.30am, Chavs at the back of that bus were rinsing the song beyond tolerance. Same with Adulthood. The same kid used to get up and do the same D-D-D-D bit every morning. He soon stopped when the bus hit the brakes one day. Good times.

Got to be Forward Riddim, although 'When I'm 'Ere', 'Eskimo' and 'P's and Q's' are favourites.

Cbb to quote, but seriously, lol @ 'Duppy' being a chavs song, so what if a few kids rinsed it on their Samsung D500's, tune was a classic imo.

Team Supreme, what do they do? Is it all grime?

I can't remember picking Bounce, was that lifted from a thread?

Oh your invovled in that?

Makes sense.

My best Grime tune changes on a daily basis. I didn't want to pick Pow because its so cliché and theres so many other tunes out there, while Pow did sell the most though.

The line up on Bounce is fucked though and has Dizzee/Wiley on the same track.

At 1:45ish… Lethal says “Oh yeah i made the biggest grime tune of all time”. Which leads to the question. Is ‘Pow!’ the biggest grime tune ever made?

Me and Frankie sat down, discussed, debated (or argued, whatever!), and here is what we came up with…

Top 5 Contenders:
Kano - P’s & Q’s - Back in June 2005, Kano released his first album ‘Home Sweet Home’, which featured the massive P’s & Q’s. Produced by DaVinche, this was again one of the first tunes to get grime noticed on a bigger scale. Unfortunately it did not chart, but it is generally recognised as the best underground song ever not to touch charts.

Lethal Bizzle ft Various Artists. - Pow - Pow is argubably grimes biggest success to date. It reached number 11 in the charts, but it has come under a lot of critism for its content. Its controvesial lyrics lead to it being banned from several radio stations, and even some clubs.

Dizzee Rascal - Stand Up Tall - The first single from Dizzees second album ‘Showtime’. Some might dispute us putting this in contention instead of something like ‘I Luv U’ but Stand Up Tall, charted at number 10, HIGHER than Pow, which many people believe to be the highest charting grime tune of all time. It also spent a total of six weeks in the top seventy-five.

Wiley - Eskimo - Maybe the first grime song ever? Definately one of the most defintive in starting grime, for sure. The beat is surely still one of the best grime beats ever!

Roll Deep - When I’m Ere - When Roll Deep released ‘In At The Deep End’, everyone was expecting a big grime album. But we didn’t get this. However, it did include ‘When I’m Ere’, the albums grimest tune, which is one of the most popular hits to come out of the scene.

Taking into account popularity within both the grime culture and the non-grime culture, where it charted, whether or not it is still heard regularly today, and our own personal favourite. But, mainly due to the fact that we believe it is this tune that got us where we are today, started the scene, got some of our best artists into grime… we at House Of Grime have decided that the biggest grime tune of all time is Wiley - Eskimo!

We also asked several grime industry people, including artists, producers and bloggers, what they thought for you… and here are the responses we recieved…

Bashy: Lethal Bizzle ft Various Artists. - Pow
Dream McLean: Lethal Bizzle ft Various Artists. - Pow (”See Ps and Qs is much better but Pow was bigger”)
Aza T: Lethal Bizzle ft Various Artists. - Pow
Wrighty (ex So Solid Crew): Lethal Bizzle ft Various Artists. - Pow
Royal T: Lethal Bizzle ft Various Artists. - Pow
Elijah (Butterz): Lethal Bizzle ft Various Artists. - Pow
Mz Bratt: More Fire Crew - Oi!
Terror Danjah: Terror Danjah feat. Riko, Bruza, D Double E and Hyper - Cock Back
DJ Vectra: Jammer - Destruction/Murkle Man
Louis Gibzen: Kano - P’s & Q’s
Badness: Wretch 32 ft. Ghetts and Badness - Ina Di Ghetto
Brags (of Nu Brand Flexx): Dizzee Rascal - I Luv You
Scratcha: Wiley - Eskimo
Stormer (from OG’z): D Double E - Anger Management
Hij (GrimeForum Owner): Bounce
Hattie Collins: All of Boy In Da Corner

Team Supreme, what do they do? Is it all grime?

Not really. Couple guys post a lot of American music/videos, one guys posts a lot of grime videos and stuff, i kinda post a big of everything, whatever i feel like. For example, i heard the Lethal B bar and just did this randomly. Plus we promote two grime artists, Dream and Siris. So we try have a little bit of stuff for everyone really.
