Its a public vote so be careful who you vote for!`

I think they will show everyone they deserve it soon. From what i've heard personally, yes. Pulse is the best concept writer in grime, imo. And Rinse has a fucked flow to challenge any the top boys (and I've said this for time).

Lets just whack it in poll format and see what the people are saying.
I even made the options a bit more detailed so people can see whats what, rather than just 'are they good?'

Voted yeah because technically they'll go rounds with anyone, thats a top mc for me. When popularity comes into it is when it changes because they're not gonna have the following of a Wiley or Skepta, the top mc's have a following it doesn't mean their better. Impulse has had a CD out and sold (I think) 10,000 copies. Impulse and Rinse are set to come with CDs that will push them up there imo, but from what i've heard already they're up there.
If there was a middle vote I probably would of chosen that but out of the two options the first suited my opinion more.

How can man vote yes, and then say 'you lot bread them to the max' still.
Whose breading them even, I aint seen no bread in this thread so far either?
To be honest, so many guys on this forum in the last day, who like to seperate themselves from the rest by acting above people and different, and probably I include R.Dot.Tubbs, Quality Control and Grafta in this.... jumped on their own bandwagon, by saying others are breading to give themselves an elitist opinion.
Grafta's the 4th to say 'you lot bread', its kind of ironic now- how can more and more people be saying 'everyone here breads' lol- that wouldnt be everyone. And if anymore people log on and say that it just deads the 'everyone is a breader' argument - coz evidently they aren't, the poll proves that so far.
If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were all bandwagonning Logan Sama's 'back slapping' comments still in an attempt to distance yourselves from being put in that category.

BTW in my last post about R.Dot, Grafta and Quality Control I weren't even sending, it just seems like since people said this is a 'back slapping' community people are looking for 'breading' a bit too much to try and not look like a breader themselves.
On the face of it, it looks like theres 2-3 guys who work with Impulse/Rinse and 2-3 fans who are the guys bigging them up.
6 from 685 members. Its hardly everyone thats all, no need to exaggerate it.

Only people who I personally ever back slap, not that I'd ever use that phrase as its shite, are those who put in hours a week to keep this thing going, namely mods, so its nothing to me really, just showing my appreciation when they spend time doing something, coz Im not paying anyone, its just courteous still.
If theres other back slapping, between other members and stuff then feel free to point it out then, coz no one seems to, but theres not been bredding with this Rinse/Impulse thing, although you've all contributed to a bag of free promotion for them.
The poll says 8/7 so its yet to decend into the band wagon it was supposed to.

if i was afraid of being labeled a breader i'd avoid bigging up Wiley, Ghetto, Dutty Doogz - then i'd really be going against the norm
is it reeaally that unreasonable of me to say Wretch-32, Jammer, Chimpmunk, Impulse and Rinser (and i might aswell take this opportunity to say i think P-Money is good, but overhyped too) are getting undeserved hype!?
i'm not one of these guys that hates on everyone.. find all my comments about Devlin, Wiley, Ghetto, Doogz, Dot Rotten, Dizzee Rascal, Kano etc. etc. and you'll see that i'm positive about the vast majority of subjects that appear on here

That was the one in some park wasn't it?
It took a while for me to rate Rinse, namely 'Grimes Not Dead Its Live', the freestyle on some O.T Crew camp members beat and then 'Sho Shower' or something that was behind a video Scribbler uploaded.
So I won't accept being thrown in some band wagonners section, so people who are saying it should name the ones they think are bredding still, coz I still cant see any, unless someone was calling them Top 1 selected and the best in the world or sumfin.

Fair enough, Im just saying it as I see it, just like you are innit.
Ill agree with you on Wretch 32 and Jammer- two artists I cant fucking stand anymore.
Chipmunk is ok.
Whereas Rinse and Impulse Im feeling what they are doing. 'Suicide' and 'Masks' off the top of my head are 2 great songs.
At least after all this hype, getting their CD will be a lot more interesting now. I know Rinse is considering dropping a free EP like Devlins so maybe we'll see the levels then.

My top 3 is
1.Wiley
2.Goodz
3.Bashy
4.About 7 other MC's tied, including Skepta, JME, P Money, Impulse, Rinse, Ghetto and Frisco.
Varies dependant on what I've been listening to and whats out at the moment. Black Da Ripper would be in the possible 4th spot if something had actually dropped recently, but Ive heard nothing.

Fuck This!!
The Problem Is People Are Too Busy Arguing Who Is The Best 'who Is The King Of Grime' And All That Shit
This Is What
-turns Threads Sour
-creates 'bandwagons'
In The First Place
Instead Of Arguing Who Is The Best, Who Is The King
Can't We Just Say Who We Are Feeling, And Say If People Are Not Our Cup Of Tea
Music Works Of The Principle That Every Individual Likes Different Things And There Is So Many Different Artists/genres/styles Because Everybody, For One Reason Or Another Prefers Something And That Is Their Opinion
Bitching About Who Is 'best', 'a Top Mc', 'top 3 Selected' Or 'king Of Grime' Or Whatever Other Bullshit Phrase Forum Neeks Have Come Out With Is Pointless Because Nobody Is Ever Going To Agree Because Music Is Personal To Each Individual And Whether You Like Something Depends On So Many Different Factors I Am Not Even Going To Try And Name Them

Really though knowone has been called shit really people have just had their opinions on who is better, in a heated fashion.
I find it frustating seeing thread constantly bigging up the same people and not other talent that also deserves priase.
I am slightly biased but wqay before I ever had any dealings with anyone, I knew that they were a huge talent and couldn't understand why they weren't getting any exposure.
It seems as though the general views from rwd haven't transfered to this place and people see the potential in these artists and believe they are as good as some people say.
Let's just wait for the mixtapes and we can talk more then.

I voted No, because, Who?
All I've heard of Rinse is that freestyle in a park like a year ago on RWD and I didnt think much of it, I listened to it again yesterday and I can appreciate that he has a good flow.
I dont think I've ever heard a Random Impulse tune and in fact I cant even really recall him being mentioned much in the past, if he really sold 10'000 CDs, then I would have thought he would be getting more mentions if he had that many CD's out there.
I will click on their myspaces later tonight to see if they live up to all the hype, which I suppose is a victory for the bredders.

Some of the top mc's don't deserve their labels, we need to move new mc's up quickly to the top otherwise the scene will grind to a hold waiting for these talentless veterans to release their debuts.
This sums up everything nicely.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were all bandwagonning Logan Sama's 'back slapping' comments still in an attempt to distance yourselves from being put in that category.
you're gettin it twisted bruv, to me a top MC is somesone thats good init maybe thats not what the poll means but thats what i see a top mc as, but at the same time they havent exactly done alot to deserve the kinds of comments they recieve here.
so basically i could have voted for both options.
make sense?

I voted option two as both show great promise but haven't done nearly enough yet to be considered 'top' mcs

Yep, theyre artist material in my eyes unlike a lot of the so called top mc's in the scene; proper tunes with actual meanings and/or concepts

it dosent make sense i rated p money from day and no one was having it....saying he needs to do some work first which he has done and hes has his rightful position in the game.
But these two (good mcs i must admit) are being overated not in terms of ability but in terms of overeaction to not much.
Its like paul scholes (pundits try pretend their smart and say dumb shit like he secretly won the game for utd...when ronaldo just banged in a hatrick).
Its not big and its not clever to carry on rating the 'queit guy' wait for him to make some noise first is all im saying.

I think they will show everyone they deserve it soon. From what i've heard personally, yes. Pulse is the best concept writer in grime, imo. And Rinse has a fucked flow to challenge any the top boys (and I've said this for time).

In my opinion and thats all it is ... OPINION.
Even from what everyone has heard the flows and concepts are on par with the best in the scene. I just think people are trying it.
I think this talk is raising expectations proper though (regardless both artists in my opinion will meet them) so allow the talk until the new music drops.
Maybe I'm biased but there is no denying that they aint just any MCs.

They can't really be labelled as top mc's just yet. But they both have BAREEEE potential so they should be labelled as the top of the upcoming talent tbh.
From what i have heard anyway.

..they still haven't made it to the position where they could be though, and are therefore still up-coming..
Jay-Z was an "up-and-coming" talent from '89 to '96

That last quote is all I have been after through most of the argument really, just acknowledgment of how good they are, I personally think they are 2 of the best in the scene but no that this will not be everyones opinion but I defy ANYONE to tell me that they don't show the potential to be future big stars, that's fair enough I think?

..future top MCs sure (so long as everything goes to plan, you never know what could happen), and if you'd listened in the first place i'd actually said that from the start.. in fact i think i included it in my original post in my other thread..

Yeah You right but my original arguement was that they are both better than ghetto, I still stand fully behind that and so do a few others aswell and all this is without people even hearing their next releases..................the bandwagon hasn't even got going yet!
