People say certain people jump on the bandwagon.

But since the early days when the Vets created the scene, there has been no real innovation.

It seems as one person does something then the rest follow work wise aswell.

One min everyones working on an album, then they are all on this mixtape thing, then they are all on a t-shirt thing and then they will all be on the next big way to try and make money.

Thing is one big track is more effective than 5 mixtapes of average beats.

nowadays the bandwagon is easy to jump on. look at when kane and dizzee where coming up. it as only on pirate radio and dubplates where u could get noticed. these days ppl who dont deserve to be on legal radio go on like its nothing, eg kiss 100 and 1xtra kmt, this t-shirt ting is pissing me off aswell. look back at practice hours 1. u will see meridian members wid t shirt slogan eg boy better know and serious as i recall. they are the t shirt pioneers so props for them making a business from it. but to hood to care, star in the hood, are u dumb, grime is dead, its a par, all them tings are bandwagon. same ting wid the mixtapes everyone jump on it and now ppl wanna put out albums and there mixtapes where total shambles and terms of quality and sales. Promos are a good look but u have to be seriously on point wid mixtapes and albums otherwise u aint goin nowhere!

life's a bandwagon

good point, but life is not a creative art.

Grime lacks rebels.

Wiley and his eski movement was a very exciting time, it was very different.
You would have these hench geez like DJ's in their mid 30's with no idea about what was happening to their scene.

more of that please.

If someone wears an addidas top before everyone else, is everyone else jumping on the bandwagon?

I kinda understand the angle what you are coming from. I think more people need to think outside the box when it comes to promoting and releasing stuff rather than:

make cd>>give cd to logan & other djs>>>get a bit of airplay>>>release CD>>>promote cd on logan>>>dissapear for a year

everyone in all walks of life are susceptible to having their opinions influenced by others, but certain people on this forum in particular just completely flip-flop constantly

On Grime FORUMS there is an unpresidented amount of band-wagoning, more so than I have seen i any other scene. People are too scared to have their own opinions or let other people's opinion influence them....which when we are talking about something as personal as music is ridiculous

Then again, people also sometimes seem to think that the people on forums are the main demographic of Grime listeners, which just isn't true

So i dunno

LoL bandwagoning is a bit of a loose term. If you dont know about something that youll grow to enjoy, and you only discover it after you see 20 man on the ''bandwagon'' is that bandwagoning? or is that just finding out through others something thats good.

i understand what your saying. Everyones doing a mixcd, everyones making T's. But, they do so because its been tested. BBK tee's make money, rah ill make tee's. Were not dealing with masterminds here, its mc's who are trying to make money anyway they can.

Its no different from why so many people turn to drug dealing, cos they wanna make quick p and cant think of nay revolutionary idea.
