last thursday i was invited to a hiphop show on our national radio to "present" grime. no one never av played grime on nat radio in here. and if someones here talking about grime its all about dizze, wiley, lady sov and dats all..maybe durrty. so i decided to play as an example > lehtal b & youngers - new era, eastwood bad riddem vocal, and southside anthem
classic 8bar clash...thats what got me fully into grime
then some new stuff in mix... DVA, Dreama etc

If I had to choose a vocal it would be Wiley - Sidewinder (Vocal ft. Allstars). That tune is so sick I was going to make a thread about it the other day. If it was an instrumental it would be Bazooka.

Notice how barely anything (if at all) new has been picked to represent Grime music? Just sayin'.

if it was anything recent, id say

1. Maniac - Saltfish
2. Silencer - Dirtbag
3. Nocturnal - Don't Phone Me

The thing is I don't reckon new stuff can define grime because it changes so fast only the old stuff can be properly recognised as grime by everyone. if it was to be newer stuff i would say ghettos new stuff is very grimey and captures the up tempo hype kinda bars.
