I feel like the reason trim was an iller MC before has less to do with his bars, and more to do with the beats he chose (or was forced by wiley/rolldeep) to spit on, versus those he chooses on his own two now.

His flow was considered original and interesting in part because it was "off". But what made it off was the fact that he was working with traditional grime beats, and often meandering around on uptempo hype tracks which was sick. Now all we get are beats that are so suited to his flow that the contrast that makes him a standout artist has disappeared.

Not to say I don't rate him, I always have and probably always will. His content and rhyme schemes can be milles ahead of many when he choses, but this seems to be happening less and less. something I noticed as of late.

Trim has always been one of my favourite mcs. Unique flow, delivery and witty content. Soulfood one was a breath of fresh air to hear.

Volume 2 jus sounded like volume 1 remixed, re-worded and recycled. Havent heard volume 3, but from the tunes on logan i made the conscious not to buy.

Rate it for sure, Trim's a stoner, through and through. These hyped-up youngers jumping up and down, pissing their pants over how many waste clone bars they can regurgitate, not Trim's style.

Granted not every tune on here is solid as the last two Soulfood's but there's some amazing production on there. Maybe it's not even that grimey in places but for the most part it's a decent record IMO.

What I like about Trim is that each CD seems to show off a different style of his music, I can see why people aren't rating this but it shits on a lot of Grime CD's, just depends what you are looking for in a CD

If you were looking for non-stop hype beats and bars you shouldn't have bought a Trime CD because it is common knowledge that he aint on that sort of flex
