Just to give you a taste of something different, here's a Norwegian Grime tune. OnklP is well known here, he mainly does hip hop, but does some Grime inspired-stuff now and then. He talks about Grime a few times in the song too.

This is hip-hop not grime.

That said, it has more vibe than most tunes I've come across in the grime and HH scene in 2008. Beat's big whoever produced it...and the lyrics...well they're Norwegian, he could be saying heil Hitler for all I know :D

Okay it's not 140BPM, but OnklP is a slow spitter and sort of has a lazy flow so it's a given. The lyrical content is great, clever and funny, he's one of the best Norwegian hip hop lyricists in my opinion.

For me, the genre of grime is defined by the beat/production. I may be wrong in some people's eyes, but I wouldn't class this beat as a grime beat, and therefore it is not grime. Similarly, "grimey" is not grime. As I said however, the beat is very good for a hip-hop beat.

The beat sounds a bit like the one Wiley did for You Don't Know Me, but I'd say this is still hiphop. I like it though, nice and bassy, and the last verse in particular is jokes.

looool Tørrokk = Slang for dry weed.

LOL at "Det er en meget". That sounded more like Danish, but I don't think that's even correct Danish. "Det er mye" would be the direct translation, but that just sounds silly.
