I don't agree with what Logan said about Westwoods being the place every one wants to get on to, maybe in the past but being on Westwoods isn't worth anything now, I said before Westwoods is like a youth club, we had a boy go with hes Mum and know one on this forum had heard of the boy? of course the scene doesn't start and end here but a lot of people know there stuff and pay attention to the scene.

Still a good interview though.

Bruv. Westwood is the biggest 'urban' music DJ in the country. Most people grew up listening to him, or at least having an awareness of his importance.

Obviously the 1xtra show allows it to be a lot more accessibility then it used to be, but it isn't causing a problem at all. Westwood said he wants the all the spitters who are doing it to have a nice Youtube for their page, and he is helping them out by introducing them to his audience.

I must say the DJ Special thing I did with Skilliam earlier in the year was big for me as I got into Westwood before some of my peers that have been doing music for years. Madness.

But yea, thats the aim, but its a good place to start, its not like anything has been really like it on 1xtra since Pirate Sessions so it is good that they are actually allowing it.

The exposure you can get from his youtube channel is big, I think he has one of the top channels in england.

To me he has down classed him self, I've seen shows where I know not one of the people and its not because I haven't paid attention, I've always paid attention to the scene.

I'm not talking about bring ins either.

Its good he wants to help but if he helps every one, people will expect you to have a video of being on Westwoods, it could reach the stage where people are saying "ah he hasn't even been on Westwoods".


Your a different story, you DO deserve it, your putting in the work, you do Rinse covers, blogging, interviews ect.

At the moment Rinse is more exclusive than Westwoods.
