It's calculated by how many plays you've got, how many views and since you signed up. So if you signed up a year before you put music on there you're going to have a challenge on your hands to get top 10.

My boys been in the top 10 in the grime chart a couple times but there is no way he's top 10 lol it makes me laugh. Still, people use fake plays to get high in the charts, then lots of people click them and give them lots of real plays. Then they end up getting loads of plays without cheating. It's retarded. However, if i knew i was quite good then i'd probably do the same.
