Anyone getting this? only £30 out on Friday, should be a decent game to play till GTA drops.

Wanted it on the PS2 when it first came out but ended up getting a 360 for crimbo instead. Comes with new missions and better graphics.

Yeah it's Rockstar game, so it should be good. But i got too much to be spending Pz on other than games at mo. Need to do some serious game shopping later in the month though

From what I've heard yeah and doesn't seem to be much porting issues, the reviews on IGN you can trust.

I dunno IGN gave Need For Speed ProStreet a crap review, and i really liked it, till i completed it. Good game though, not everyone likes it though. I guess it did get like a 6 or 7 ish

IGN can be overly harsh to some games in terms of the score, but they higlight all the best features, but if their is somthing they don't like then they will really markdown the over all score.

I always check Gamespt and Gametrailers for the video reviews as well.

Got my Buronout license can't be bothered with Elite need 90 more wins... overly long. So just messing round online, done 265 of the challanges now and got about 710 acheivment points out of it!

From what I've heard the game has alot of variation, going to lessons, side games, getting chased, fighting, fair ground games. IGN hate games that are repetitive they destroyed assasins creed for that, but they don't mention any factor of repetitvness.

kinda..... ur the middle man, u take out the bully's that pick on the weaker kids, but u can also be a bully ur self and stick yunga's in bins/toilets/beat em up etc.... even break into their lockers.
u move from diff gangs within the school stikin up for the nerds fighting the jocks, then vice versa, but there aint no repetition, all missions are diff
u get punished extra hard by teachers/police for beating girls and adults but if ur quik u can out run em. if u get caught u gotta mow da grass and that sucks....

Thats a minor plenty of games that have a noticeable low frame rate. IGN would not give such a good score to a game that has a frame rate that is so bad you have to wait for a patch.

EDIT: Yeah just seen what your refering too, looks like it could just be an NTSC problem, some people saying they get a glitch and then the game is fine. It's a port so there is bound to be problems.

Anyway I'm still getting it and if the problems are really bad then I'll let you know.

lol @ gamestation obviously thinking that everyone who walks into the store has 'dickhead ting' tatooed on there forhead... seriously why would I pay £39.99 full price for a game that has been ported and has freezeing/sound issues/framerate I aint touching it.

Had another look on the ign bully forum and this freezing issue seems alot more serious than I though, but some people seem to have these issue and others dont. This can be fixed by a simple patch IF you have XBOX LIVE of course, if not then your stuck with a buggy game, thats a serious par. I have LIVE but I wainting for a damn patch, who knows what freezing etc can do to your 360 on a regular basis.

This is what testing is for to stop things like this happening, maybe it's only certain copies? I dunno. Cheers gerbil or whoever the heck you are for the heads up about the glitches.

R* need to sort a patch quick or people are just gonna return there copy or just steer clear!

If they release a patch and 100% rectify the problems in the next couple of days then I'll get it. If not then I'll leave it for a few months and pick it up when it's cheap.

Bully first impressions review

Ok I finally decided to go with buying this broken Rockstar title, as we have all been promised a fix by the end of the week in the form of a patch. Having said that I am yet to encounter any major faults, shadow flutter and a mild drop in FPS about the worst of it.

If you don't know Bully is a tale of a boy who is par'd by his mum and evil stepdad and left to rot in a boarding school. The school is full of your typical teen movie 'cliques' geeks and jocks kinda thing. From what I can tell so far you and some other outcasts will battle it out to become kings of the worst boarding school in the country.

I was thrown into the mix instantly as soon as I stepped through the gates, two goons came running towards me and knocked me off my feet. I knew then that was just the tip of the iceberg. In my two hours of playing I got into numerous scuffles, throwing eggs at prefects and of course hiding up a tree and shooting jocks at football practice with my slingshot.

These are just some of the elements that I have experinced so far and you will find them encorporated in a fair few missions, well at the start anyway. I can't say to much about the variation in missions as I've only done six, but the great thing about Bully is that the game isn't just about being bombarded with endless missions.

Say hello to classes... you have two a day and if you don't attend then the prefects that roam the halls will beat you down without a moments notice. But whats the point trying to skip class the lessons are fantastic, art, gym, english, music and many more. In each lesson you are given six mini games to complete all relevant to the lesson, for example in Gym you will be envolved in a game of dodge ball (fucking awesome) and for biology disect a frog. These games are very good and doing them will get you a fair few acheivment points.

They are the main two features so far I haven't even unclocked the rest of this city where you can race BMX's, chuck eggs at cars, go to the fair ground and take part in main missions in the city not just the campus.

The graphics and dialogue are good, not the best graphics around but concidering this is a port it's ok.

With Bully there are so many things to do, I don't even wanna play the main story rite now I just wanna, chuck stink bombs, ride my skateboard and start food fights. Theres plenty of things I haven't even mentioned that I'm sure you will enjoy in this jam packed game. The great thing is it doesn't feel like you are being pushed with the story, you can just go along at your own pace.

Couple things I'm not so sure are targeting your weapon close up as the jock your trying to shoot will just hit you, so your your best off just twattting him round the head with a baseball bat. But shooting is great from a distance. People kicking off at you does get abit annoying when your half way through a missions, but I just leg it now instead of trying to be a hero. No autosave is abit of a pain but the save points do get more wide spread I'm told through your progression of the game.

Overall I have'nt come across that many bad things, but as I said I'm only two hours in. The ones I have found are not enough to put me off this fun game that will take you over 20 hours to complete if you do all the missions, lessons, side tasks and acheivments (thats what I've heard anyway).

If your a bit bored of halo or COD4 then I cant think of a better game to buy to keep you occupied upto the 29th of April... or if you are put off by the price or the bugs at release this is defenitly a game you should pick up on the cheap in a few months.

From what I'm aware, there are new lessons, about 8 new missions and just upgraded graphics. If your still playing this on the ps2 then I'd say get this!

I aint getting it, no point with GTA round the corner, I'll happily play Bully till then. Shame really cuz I could really get into the online mode.
