Not as much now that people know who I am but I moved from London to Oxford for university and everything was different. I was walking around hood up like I was still in london and people were treating me a bit weird like I was gonna rob them.

The songs not about the blatant in your face racism its more about how people automatically make assumptions about you or act towards you just cos of the way you look. Like security following you around or feds pulling you over cos you're driving a nice car, or people crossing the street or moving their bags when you're around, they might not even realise they are doing it.

The song is basically satire but it's talking about "institutionalised" racism, when people make assumptions about you before you've even opened your mouth just cos of the colour of your skin.

It's the kind of racism when you're not sure whether or not it is actually racist if you get me, the sort of ingrained beliefs people have sorta like "he must be .... because he's black" etc
