What are your general thoughts on him, i mean i know what he has done and RESPECT him for starting what we now call 'grime'. Do you think when it comes to talking about him being succesful in the music industry do we refer more to watch he created rather than wealth and fame.
I personally think he is a shit lyricist and his bars gt to repitative, nonetheless i still RESPECT HIM.

Wiley is never lyrically shit. He went through a poor lyric writing phase a couple years back but he's on point now. Lyrics get me on a hype and he's made so many sick beats. Really looking forward to his future releases.

Wiley came from a garage scene, where lyricism didn't count for much it was more about how hype you could get a crowd...wileys lyrics have never been about content but u take devlin and wiley to a rave and wiley will fuck it up everytime...as for him being sucessful, in 30 years he will still be seen as the founder of grime and dizzee and kano will be 4gotten...wiley may not be a rolling in it like dizzee but he stayed true to his music and kept his pride and if thats more important to him then fair play.

Just think he cant write a song, he can write BARS but his album and mixtapes lack structured material. I see other artists that can do this.

hes improved lyrically over the last 6 months with more on point lyrics. still chats same old nonsence sometimes
not consistent enough though. war seems to bring the best out of him (e.g movement v wiley 2006) but seems to have left that for now.
comes with a few good beats on his releases every now and then still.
also, wiley in a rave >>>>>>
and wiley in a clash >>>>>>

When Wiley is forced to do something good, he can. But sometimes he gets a bit complaisant.
I do prefer listening to old Wiley stuff to newer Wiley stuff though, like the Conflict or old Slimzee/Dizzee/Wiley sets.

Wiley was an inspiration and made me want to produce.
I loved to read his interviews and stuff.
But in recent months my opinion of him as gone downhill, and he would have to come with something very special for me to think of him in the same light as I used to.

the only bad thing i have to say about him is that sometimes he doesn't seem very professional in the way he does things
and also most the time he cant stay on topic on a song lol
but other than that hes the best of the best

He's driven and repped this scene from day and never betrayed it. I may have big problems with him (namely the style and content of his albums (and In at the Deep End)) but he keeps making Grime. And he has consistently released more music that I like than just about any other Grime artist.

Yeah true say Wiley = GRIME.
But if he does want to go any futher than he has now then he needs to make sure his album releases are on point.
