Anyhow.... there's a good chance this track will be played elsewhere before I get the chance to air it on Rinse tomorrow as the track's being mailed out digitally at about 8am, just hearing now.

Good chance if you listen to 1Xtra you might hear it on Ace & Vis or Mista Jam as they're likely to be on the mailout list.

If not, Rinse is you!!

Interesting- and slightly disappointing- that when the large proportion of dubstepforum is strongly against the concept of grime MCs over dubstep, which is truer to the roots of the sound anyway, but are all for an MC of higher status with exactly the same contact in general to get on it.

Unless, of course, there's been a seismic shift in opinion on that there in the last couple of months that I'm not aware of. Hypocritical, really.

Was never good be good, I knew he'd spit at 70 BPM Snoop was one of the worst rappers that could have decided to spit on Dubstep.

Jammie Dodger
19th March '09, 01:17 PM
There's a whole heap of rappers writing to tracks from Joker, Plastician, Crissy Criss, Maniac and a load more as I type this, so look out for more collaborations popping up in the coming weeks.

sounds fucked tbh
blown?

dubstep has been pretty mainstream for about 2-3 years now. This song probably won't make much differene to that. though I'm often wrong about these things

I think theres quite a big difference to all sorts of ppl skankin 2 "night" in napa and a legend from the hip hop scene spittin over a dubstep beat

Blimey
19th March '09, 08:42 PM
Snoop doesnt sound himself on it, bit off putting. Always thought Eastern Jam was more Grime than Dubstep aswell, huge tune still though. The prices the americans pay for beats though could make a lot of UK producers very wealthy.

I get what your saying but dubstep djs play all over the world in packed clubs, its the baking music to bbc documentries, it played regularly on commercial radio.

Snoop Dogg is a legend, but this isnt going to excite all the kids that bought that atrocious flo rida song that got to number 1

Yea i understand where youre coming from bruv, and nah this definately ent gna get mainstream success like u said with flo rida etc, but it stil is very much a underground genre , i jus think its a good look for someone like snoop to do a track like this , to think the sound is spreading get me

Thanks for clearing that up.

Id like to hear people like Busta & Scarface. Rappers with Deep, Slow flows to merk the darker, less hype dubstep beats.

Cant really see any suiting the hype beats. The bass would drown out their voice

Nah its a Pharrel beat.

I got some new bits now from the Mixtape but won't be playing them just yet.

Some big names have laid vox down on Rusko, Starkey, D1, Chase & Status, Joker & Rustie beats so far.

Also got a Lil Jon dubstep instrumental
