Same as what someone else said. The sample wasn't doing it for me. The beat was nice though.


Any comments on mine, would be appreciated.

It was originally a dubstep beat i made bout a year ago, but i added some bits to make it more in to a grime sound.

Dunno if there's much i can add, the beats alot. Pure was real good, grimey and nice vibes.

The intro was sick, but then just didn't drop into what i was expecting from the intro. The beat is nice, the intro just promised a different darker vibe kinda


i can see where i went wrong with my selection of a beat to enter aswell.

Yeah, Four was big. Real nice tune, just not grimey enough to get my vote. Real nice chilled out tune though

Yours was actually pretty sick man no lie, just I felt the others (in my list anyway) just about edged it- a bit more hype maybe I'm not sure.

Theres 4-5 I think deserved more than they got and yours is in that category mate.


And yeah I think Tru Omegas would have done a lot better if it didn't have 'C'mon's' sound effect in it, not many people felt that.

If anyone else wants feedback just post here, hopefully we can give you some constructive stuff :)

Big up Hyperfrank and me repping Funk.

That beat deserved more :(


A lot of the beats lacked originality, lacked energy or were just all over the place.
Titanium fist would of been first but I thought it had too many 'Come ons' and it started to iritate me.


Funk was sick
that had pure emotion in there. I loved it.


Trouble is I gave my top marks to beats that sounded abit different, looking back I shouldn't of done that because this is a 'grime' competition :shifty:

Bassbox, I voted yours in my top 5 I think and Im shocked it didn't make the top 5 overall its a very very fucked beat.

was my number 2 lol as Hyperfrank said before, beat had a lot of emotion, some mc's Ic ould imagine giving you some v.nice vocals for that

My list explained:

1.Too Grimey.

Big Production reminds me of something Rapid and Nocturnal would come up with if they produced together..I can hear Ghetto ,Dev's and Goodz on this.

2.Negative.

Very tight drum programming with that dark dubstep bass..sick
Feeling the synth arpeggio that comes in and out to give the track hype.

3.Pure.

Nice string intro with that sick wobble bass again.
Nice overall use of melody without being too clutterd.


4.Arctic Company.

Like the string melodies and the bounce on the drum pattern
I can hear Wiley vocaling this one.

5.More than you bargained for.

Recorded very low ,but the dark synths and strings are working on this big time imo.
My only criticism is this should have had better drum sounds and a tighter mix so it bangs more.
But this track has good energy imo.

6.Hit em up.

The melody on this track is huge!!
This one sounds like an anthem.
It reminds me of something I can hear on a T.I. album ,but it still remains grimey.
It needs a big MC that can skip hard on it or someone witty and powerful like Skepta.

7.Fuck off riddem.

This reminds me of early Grime productions it's got a slight DTI hype to it.

8.Get over here.

Good melody again and you cant go wrong with Mortal Kombat lol

Others I liked:

Shock Out 2.

I like the fact that this sounded way different to the rest.
Kinda reminds me of a good album track.
I'm gutted that this one didn't make it ,because it reminds me of vintage Dizzee.

Very Grimey ,I like the triplets on the hi hats and the way the beat switches up...sick!!
I just thoght that the overall melody could have been stronger/catchier ,but it's sick none the less.

If it's 50 seconds I beg you don't cut mine from the start, somewhere in the middle or near the end, 'cause it takes a while to drop and I'll probably loose votes because it will sound like it's not varying enough.
