its very good, got all the orchestral instruments you need at good quality but everyone uses it nowaday, and everytime you save - close - then open your work again you gotta reload all the presets and fx cos it resets to default - other edirol vsts do this aswell

This is why I don't use it, I made a nice tune, come back and the whole song is being played by the same flute :dead:, I couldn't even remember what sounds I had used.

That only happens with the cracked Edirol's.
Just notepad the preset and the fx u used. Thats what i used to do. lol

nah out of all the good vsts with orchestral sounds like miroslav, dimension, eastwest etc its the least.. i usually have 10 instances of it open along with other vsts and never have slowdowns, glitches etc but then as soon as i open philharmonik half my rams gone and slowdowns start appearing

i just rename the thingy.
eg. shift click the bit that says edirol ochestral on fruity, so you can rename the VST. and rename like full strings char -20. or something like dat
has anyone checkd out that RA VST its like 16gb, but you only get about 30 sounds, which is the biggest bump ever. but the sounds are amazing.
all ethnic stuff though, like bongo's, sitars, kotos ect

na, there's a way to make it so that it always saves what specific instruments you have loaded and when you load it up they're there like they should be, and it actually takes no effort at all

Most of that stuff is in Colossus, which I actually like
Only had Ra for a couple days, bare unstable, know a couple guys who said the same and upgraded to Colossus as well

SMH @ using the packaged Kompakt players. Should be using Kontakt 2 to play the samples through, it works so much better. Especially when you are moving about a lot, with the packaged Kompakt players you have to find each sample one by one if they aren't where they were last, with Kontakt you just tell it what folder to search in and it loads up quick.
+ the Kompakt players have a tendancy to drop some unnecessary white noise into the song when it wants

got kotakt 3 but wouldnt let me do a manual search, kept forcing auto search which basicly stopped when going through ewql choirs and orchestral gold lol looks handy though having nearly every vst preset in one though
didnt have the dxi for edirol.. if I where to aquire it sumhow is it just a case of putting it in the relevant folder or would a reinstall be required?

The DXi has it's own installer. Should be packaged with the VSTi one you installed.

Lucky you..
I cannot make it past the License Agreement part of the install, once I hit "Accept", it spits up this nastygram saying: "Orchestral VST cannot be installed to this version of Windows"
Which really pisses me off.. DSK Brass freezes, so forget that as well.

Get the H20 or AIR cracked Release.

Edirol Orchestral is great in my opinion. The only downside (mentioned earlier) is the need to save presets after every session, and then load them back up. Apart from that though, it's excellent.
Not sure why people say it's a drain on CPU :S I tested putting them into and using them in my project, and I put a total of 7 in and didn't notice any difference in playback/latency.

Never noticed it as a drain on cpu and theres easy ways to stop it from going back to all the default presets, ive been looking for other similar vsts doe if anyone can name any?
