Just so people know how good a reputation you have i think, you get points from other users for good answers and the higher rep the other person has the higher yours goes up- im not sure though so if im wrong my bad

Above where it says Join date, Post Amount etc on each user
There should be 2 little buttons, one to Report a post (for offensive content etc), 2nd is to leave Rep points, either negative or positive.

I think that at some point there will be secret forums that only people with such and such rep can view, they just havent done it yet because we only have 400-ish users :D

There won't be any secret part to the forums.
There's the staff room but that's pretty dull, the only other part that comes close is the 360/PS3 Online/Gaming room thing, which anyone can access from joining the PS3 or 360 groups through their User CP, there's a post with more info sticky'd in random on that. Although that room may eventually just be public anyway.


I don't get what the point in rep is, other than some E-popularity thing.
The only example i can think of where we could use it in future is that putting in a promotion system, where any full member with for example 1500 posts, 100 rep points and has been a member for over a year would get promoted to being a moderator when they hit that. Which could be useful on huge forums, which ours isn't lol.


We do have a promotions system in place. Everyone now joins as a regular user, once they've made 10 posts in other peoples topics, they get a promotion to a full member, to try avoid spam bots from posting/pm'n. Although we're not using Rep as part of the promotions.
