yo

Thought it would be a good idea to use this bit of the forum as a reminder for what needs updating, more for myself really but if anyone clocks something that needs to be changed or updated please change it, or just put a note here so it can be done and not forgot about like.

Few I clocked today:

Maniac discography needs updating
More info on Fuda Guy page
SNIPER E PAGE
Rules and Regulations page

There is many more, but that will do to get the ball rolling.

Also what about larger things? Like are there just gonna be Uptown links now? Also big producers get a seperate discography page? Wiley to get a discography page? Big MCs'producers like Wiley, Skepta etc to get two pages for each?

Also if anyone sees any [[category:grime acts]] at the bottom of pages just delete them please

Safe

Grime Crews catagorey gone now??

cool man

nah its still there, but problem is that there is a lot of upcoming crews on there, which frankly clog it up

So dunno if anyone wants to do something about that? If an mc etc its alright, becasue they have their own 'upcoming' categories, but crews don't...

maybe there could just be an upcoming acts page for them all, I dunno

I think there is a way to get a bot to remove all those entries, not too sure though.

I still think some rules need to be put in place so this doesn't just turn into a grime myspace front-end.

yh man

sorry but there is actually an upcoming crews bit, but the 'upcoming' section is quite well hidden (have to go to all categories first)

Its SO LONG moving all the acts to 'upcoming' if they're not big, but still has to be done

yh man, just bored today, don't wanna do work so thought I would edit a bit

Having done most of the mixtapes it was a bit stupid not to make clear the producco, so as far as possible I will try and amend that

Also gonna hve a 'features' bit on artist pages, wih like mixtape etc contributions - will take a while but will be a nice look; better inter-page linking, might fill up pages for some artists who havent really done a lot as well

Any objections then shout innit

Yeah, reason I haven't been editing much is I'm not sure how to make it look properly neat. It's why we need to get those extensions installed soon Hij, to make these pages look profesh.

Also realised that these NavBoxes would be useful in linking crews and artist's releases
(see the bottom of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_David )

yh that would be a good look

not too ba at the moment, since you can just make a list of their releases etc, but it would save space for bigger artists

the boxes in the top right would be sick as well if we could get them, with just like where they're from, crew and their real name if we could get such info

I still think some rules need to be put in place so this doesn't just turn into a grime myspace front-end.

Now im back at home I can address this better.

Its hard to draw the line and work out where the line is. I knew that by making it accessible as a means of promotion to people in the scene or those that want to be a part of the scene it would grow quickly- and it has done.

The problem now is the quality of the site. This is something I feel I can dedicate a lot of time to, once various other things are out of the way.

We really need a team of guys to help on there other than me, Fullygrown and Lemon Wholesale.

yeah man, ur absolutely right, I think upcomers was the right way to go for its popularity. Tbh even if u didb't decide that ppl might have just added themselves anyway

I am too busy, but still I sit on my arse for long periods during the day. I might now just do like 1 hour a day, even 30 minutes.

Its not a lot, and its better to do small editing on a regs than bulk editing once a week, which is what I'm doing at the moment.

Then when we have sorta caught up we can just keep an eye on the recent changes section, and keep things in order from the outset

Just been busy man, plan to do more from now on though

Another thing I've wondered from the start, is it really necessary to have all the categories with "grime" before them?
Just thinking that as the whole thing is about grime it doesn't seem necessary to put it as a prefix before all the category names.

(of course it would be long to rename everything, but if a way was found to mass edit pages, this idea could be considered)

Yeah Its because each page has it written at the bottom, but thats a good point.

When we finally get this forum working, the EP on its way and stuff I really want to do more on this, I've got Slackk doing videos and I don't have much spare time, but I will have soon.
