the guys big. Reminds me of a brummy Jammer, ODB and Skepta combination.

I recommend this to anyone who appreciates good grime with substance, originality humour and concepts.

This guy should blow in 2008 alie. Will be surprised if he doesn't.. anyone know if he's blown up in the midlands or up north?

Coming from Birmingham and knowing about Devilman from when he first started I can say he has been consistantly shit from day dot.

I really don't understand why anyone is feeling his stuff, he had a little hype in Birmingham for a certain time, then they all realised how shit he was and the likes of Vader got more attention. Suddenly he gets picked up by Aftershock and guys in London are loving him.

No way did he ever deserve the chance to clash with Skepta on Lord of the Mics.

I think with devilman its the unique style/gimmick that has brought him attention. Once you've heard him you recognise the voice when you hear another track by him whereas other more orthadox mcs may need a couple of listens before people recognise them.

Also devilman had a couple of djs on 1xtra backing him which helps

The reason Dev has done better than Vader is plain and simple..

Vaders lyrics are deep and quite complex at times, so you actually have to listen to clock his bars. Dev'z bars are simple and straight to the point. Majority of grime listeners are young people who'd appreciate hype, and Dev brings that.
