Devlins not even the best in the grime scene, Goodz is better than him- no hype.

But (and Im sure TerrorS would agree), Its not about being better than 'All the US Rappers' its about being a great technical rapper who spits about stuff real to people in England and gaining a fanbase - thats why so many of my mates who don't normally like grime rate him...And Im yet to hear a 'I love you' song from him. He ain't sold out once yet. From the straight fire, no holds barred freestyles of the Devz EP to 'Take Me Away' and 'Community Outcast', which reflect and deal with real life for people in Britain. He's doing a lot- and thats why I rate him in my top 3 (which is Goodz, Wiley and Devlin if you wanted to know).

He is a solid rapper with good lyrics and decent delivery. If he had a bit more charisma he'd be onto a good thing for sure.

Hes obviously not comparable to Kanye West yet, but people have seemingly forgotten in all this hype that Kanye's worked for ages and is on top of his game, while Devlin is still relatively new. He needs to be given time to grow and develop as an artist and has surpassed loads in the game already at this early stage.

My opinion on the piece is that Kanye didn't rate the rappers, probably Dogzilla more out of the two and posted these two cronies to get some cheap laughs from his American fans. All promotion is good promotion for Devlin and I hope it springboards him upwards, he deserves it.
