...is hard man!!!
I feel like im sitting on hits but getting myself out there is near impossile.
Unless you no an artist personally or your big in the game already its hard for people to take notice or take a man seriously.
I dont really make Grime, but make most other commercial genres, I dont produce to try and make money, I do it because I love music basically, but for artists (outside of Grime) to jump on a track seems impossible due to: They've never heard of you, no big names have worked with you or beacuse your not charging a bill a beat they think wtf?
Does anyone else feel like this or just me lol?

Know what you mean mate, as far as grime all you can do is send tunes to dj's and see if they start playing them.
Dunno what other genres your into, but if its something like dubstep or bassline id imagine its the same sort of thing, like if you clock dj's thats play tunes from up and coming poducers then send your tracks to them and see what theyre saying.
I spose im sort of stating the obvious here but thats all i can suggest bro

Truss. This month I just composed a lil email list of abour 20 DJs in my contact book that play grime on internet or pirate radio and when Im ready, im gonna bombard them with music.
You have got to be pro-active and go out of your way to get at mcs and DJs. Network, network, network! Track them down on myspace, msn, raves etc etc.
Alot of things in this ting seems like its "who you know" but all business/musical relationships start from an introduction of some sort m8!
Persistence!!

i would say give cd's to mc's in a rave but unless they recognize you or know your name/tunes, they not gonna go home and listen to it.
i used to do this alot before i started using forums and myspace, never really payed off.

if you make instrumentals, grime, dub, d and b, then you just need to get djs e-mail and hit them up with all your best stuff.
belive me, most big djs check there e-mails and will listen to stuff that gets sent there way. Dont make the file to big cause theres nothing worse than waiting for a big file to download.
Send them a clip about a minute long instead and leave a message saying that if they like the track to let you know and you will send over the full version.
if you have already been doing this and had no rsponse then, without sounding harsh, but maybe your tracks aint quite ready yet or aint nothing special that make them stand out from the other hundreds of tunes that get sent every week.

Use myspace and facebook, it works, if you have studio time to offer aswell it helps a lot.
