My system is too loud basically lol, I need some proper headphones that I can Mixdown my beats on, they need to be good enough to proper mixdown and get a professional sound.

There is a guy at work who uses these, they're fucking excellent from the opportunities I've had to use them, not sure how much you could pick them up for on eBay but it's worth a look

I got a pair of Sennheiser RS120 Wireless Headphones, I didn't buy them for music production but they are all I use and do come in handy when playing my keyboard, I don't test my music any other way, I just make sure the levels sound good with these and that's it and no one has ever mentioned my mix downs :).

bought some HD25 sp's in the end.

only £70 from:

sick purchase tbh. sick bass response and gives a nice flat sound.

The Dre ones have got some seriously bad reviews. They get pushed HARD on TV and in videos though, and because of the name, everyone's buying into the hype.

You won't achieve that with headphones. You'll get a good mixdown but not a 'proper mixdown' or 'professional sound' get yourself some monitors.

I love Beyerdynamic DT 990s - Sennheiser HD 25s are totally different, but also good.

Headphones are crap for mixing down though. Great for listening to little clicks and gaps in tracks, but no good for comparing the levels of different tracks in the mix. These days I'll rough ideas together at night using headphones, then mix them the next day on monitors.

Mixing on headphones is a bad look. Does serious damage to your ears too.

I have HD25-SPs. The sound is good but I wish I had shelled out for the proper HD25s - the cord is always getting tangled etc ..
