can't think of original names every time?

& its better than thinking of a new name every time you have a new mixtape out

Imagine Wiley had to come up with names for each of his Tunnel Visions!

Mixtape series should in theory be a effort in a particular direction. What Wiley has done is call Umbrella something different when it's just another Tunnel Vision mixtape in essence. It's like how books or encyclopaedias have different volumes -- they are all part of the same big project.

Trim and Jammer have done it right, Wiley fucked up. JME is sort of different...he called his mixtapes by names but they all followed the implied title of editions. Poomplex actually said edition 2 on it so it shows.

People seem to forget that they are mixtapes, not albums. Mixtapes come in a series, like Pred said, they all come from a certain direction.

It's all to do with marketing, branding and promotion. Hip Hop guys picked up on it and grime followed.

It shows good business sense to some degree.

Nope, there's no point in a continuing Tunnel Vision series as well as an Umbrella series when they are the same.
