lol. yeah but if you re-compress 64kbps at 64kbps it sounds shit. 192 keeps it a bit crisper. (trust me - i've compared my rips to the ones rinse was putting out ;))

There was some debate over re-encoding Rinse Stream days back.
Basically to save explaining the whole discussion. It's not "re-compressing 64kbps to 64kbps" that's the problem, it's the MP3 encoder being used which makes it sound shit.
Just need to get a proper MP3 encoder which are free on the net, need to get "Lame Mp3 Encoder" and you'll be able to make it 64kbps with no loss in quality.
