I guess I'll make this my introduction... HELLO. I'm from the US of A and grime is my sh*t. Had to check this site out after seeing people argue about it so much on RWD. Whatever.

So I've been collecting records for about seven years now... hip hop, drum & bass, uk garage, grime, and dubstep. I'd like to share with you the latest fruit of my labor, a relatively short grime mix with quick transitions and mashups. Any comments will be appreciated.

I'd like to ask you a question then.

In your very honest opinion and from what you observe around you..
How do you think UK grime is actually doing in US?

And safe for the set still fam.

Thanks for the mix mate and hopefully you'll stick around on the site. I'll download it tonight, when I get home from work and I'll try and come back with feedback later.

Thanks for the feedback. :D

Grime is practically invisible in the US. There are a few people doing grime but it gets masked by other genres -- hip hop, electro, breaks, juke, baltimore. The big thing right now is DUBSTEP. When I play grime instrumentals people dig it because they don't know the difference sometimes. So I'm just trying to keep the grimey sounds represented -- its all UKG to me.

Don't worry -- the dollar sucks so bad I paid WAY to much for these. Seriously considering the switch to CDJs right now!

Just to let you know mate, came back online and tried to download, but the page wasn't working. Will try again later. But I meant to say, best of luck for the future, it's great to see that the music's reaching Chicago.
