I know Taz was considering it, dunno if he's gone through with it yet. How do you propose to make money, ie djing, emceeing, selling beats etc?

I have read some books published by pointblank and they are all very good, so theres no doubt that course will help you, but it whether you think you actually have the talent/motivation to pursue a career

My brother has done some work for them, they're okay, but I'd prefer a uni degree thanks.

'llow being a full time musician, might as well just say 'unemployed'

I'm actually considering a 'career' as a musician/DJ once ive finished my last year of uni. Only problem is that it is such a hard industry to make a good living off!!!!

Need to try and lock down a couple of residencies at clubs/bars but the thing with these is that you are almost always going to have to compromise and play cheese and other stuff you don't really wanna be playing because thats where the money is!! Unless your a big player in the dnb/grime/dubstep/etc etc scene then your never going to earn enough regularly to make a GOOD living/career.

I personally wouldn't rely on making a living soley off making beats, maybe if you name was Timberland.

The thing is, if your considering music as a career then you have to be clever and have your head screwed on.

A friend of mine DJ's for a career, he has 4 weekly residencies which all pay well and then on top of that he runs a studio in which he has a number of operations that bring in extra income.
