I rate Gerrard easily as one of the best midfielder about, but just the way they were chatting shit about him in the papers about how good he was when he clearly was quite poor. Not to say the whole team wasnt on that day but still.

I rate Gerrard. I think he's a very good player. And I would start him for England. But I think sometimes he has the concentration of an 11 year old on speed and I don't think he provides the answer to England's problems by himself. Balance is important, we need to play the right team, not the biggest players. If it works without Gerrard or Lampard or whoever, then do that.
