I always alternate between these 2 days, day 1 is just arms & chest and day 2 is abs & legs. So i get 48 hours rest for each body part. If my body is still feeling a bit sore 2 days after should i still workout or not?

arms having their own day is ridiculous

do biceps with back

triceps with chest/shoulders

shoulders should be done by themselves imo

biceps 1 day too imo

A whole day for biceps is a joke tbh. Back with biceps and triceps with chest is what I do/did.

If your muscles are sore, they are still repairing from your last workout, so you shouldn't work them, no.

EDIT - Actually I'm speaking with a friend now and he says he trains when they're sore, so I could be wrong on that. But I've always just left it until they are completely not sore.

If you're making gains carry on I guess.

Do less exercises, heavier weights + lots of food = build mass

back/bicep day

pull-ups
hyperextensions
dumbell rows
dumbell curls
(lat pull down after pull ups if u wana go mad)
all 3 sets ^, increase weight and/or sets/reps each week = gains

all the rowing and pull down movements u do involve biceps, makes sense to have them on bicep day

Does anyone here train when they are still sore? I've always thought it's best to leave it. I never get doms for longer than two or three days anyway but when I've just started again I've had it for four or five days especially in my legs and I've never trained when I'm still sore.

and the moment nar cos i hit most bodyparts once a week by which time they recover

but ive ran strength programmes tht called for doing certain exercises (bench, squat etc) 3-4 times a week, trained sore then, n made gains

Lol after reading all these replies my workout is fucking shit  I do dumbbell curls, shoulder press, chest press & sit-ups and call it a day loool. then the next day i do squats with weight for like 10 mins.
I need a proper routine that i can do with just dumbbells for now tbh, i plan on joining the gym maybe next month

lol

you can't be doing the most that you can lift if you are doing all those workouts in 1 session

you're clearly doing weights that you are comfortable with

Does anyone here train when they are still sore?

Depends on which body part is sore

if it's any part of your arms then once you get through the first set, you should be ok tbh

if it's your back or shoulders then best to just leave it, you will injure yourself lol

I've been doing the Dorian Yates Blood and Guts for the past few weeks.

My chest and biceps are sore throughout the week lol

DY blood and guts is the best sort of training you can do naturally as it's not about volume what so ever, it really doesn't take much to train past the point of it not being beneficial when you are natural.
