First and foremost this month has been a sad month for Grime as it lost one of its great talents, RIP Gavin ‘Esco Big Barz’ Defoe. So to start of the review of this month we will take a look back at some classic Esco freestyles from Risky Roadz.

April saw the releases of one of the most anticipated releases to date, Generally Speaking dropped to mixed reception. You can grab this right now to get your hands on tracks such as Head Get Mangled, Violence and Bell Dem Slags. One noteable absence from this CD was Move To The Beat. So please Dirtee Stankk camp, if any of you happen to read this, please get that out to us somehow! This month also saw a surprise release from Dexplicit in the form of Dexplicit Content Volume One. This gives fans the chance to finally get their hands on instrumentals from tracks such as Mister, Forward 2 and Machine Man. Nottingham based producer Mr SnoWman also made long overdue release in the form of the SnoWstep EP, look out for more to come from him in the upcoming months.

On the download front this month you had chances to grab some big instrumentals on Crayzee Banditts – Reincarnation EP. Brutality continued his good work to give us BOOOOOM Volume 5, featuring beats from Nu Klea, SNK Beats, Maestro and Soka Beatz. Dexplicit not intent on just putting his beats out gave us a mix for free to stick on the iPods as well, Grimelords Volume 1, this is planned to be a monthly mix so look out for future volumes.
