Logan Sama Show – P Money, Little Dee, Blacks & Guests!!

8 September 2009 2 Comments

What were you doing on Monday night?? Were you sitting there listening to your radio/mobile/PC/TV? Because if not, then you really did miss out on something special. The set on it’s own was big enough, but for now we’ll go through the show.

Back Row (Left to Right): Manga, Young Ki, Lee Brasco, Little Dee, Fangol, Desperado & Blacks. Front Row (Left To Right): J2K, P Money, Skepta, Logan Sama, Jammer & Jendor.

  • OG’s – We’re OG’s – OG Season Vol.1
  • OG’s – Get Down – OG Season Vol.1
  • OG’s – What Did He Say Remix – P Money Is Power
  • OG’s – Passin Thru – Once In A Blue
  • Little Dee – Deep Blue Sea – Once In A Blue

The 1st set of adverts distract me only momentarily as some guy reveals Kiss breakfasts’ Charlie has gone on holiday with Pixie Lott (some holiday pics I would pay for !) and Dizzee Rascal claims Logan’s hair has “got body”. Not what I want to be hearing right now.

Hold on here we go:

  • P Money – Left The Room – Money Over Everyone

Logan discusses the fact that OG’s are all strong on a solo effort which is pretty much backed by the respective discography’s (click to buy):

Little Dee tells Logan that from January next year he’s hoping for a video every month but for now watch out for videos for the next two songs:

  • Little Dee Feat. Wiley – Electric Love – Once In A Blue
  • P Money and Little Dee – Don’t Understand – Once In A Blue/Money Over Everyone
  • OG’s – Hot Ones – Money Over Everyone
  • Blacks – 1.5 Freestyle – 1.5
  • Blacks Feat. P Money – Eastern Jam Freestyle (Fall Back Be Easy) – Sick Individual

After everyone declaring the death of Myspace, Logan finally gets into some fresh material.

  • OG’s – Nothing But Pure Crime – Sick Individual

The tune was very good. The beat is easily recognisable, Kano used it for his tune Hustler (Mikey J Productions) and the tune sounds great with the touch of Littles, Blacks and Jendor. Logan wheels the tune into another exclusive

  • Blacks – You Don’t Know Me – Sick Individual
  • OG’s – Say Something I Don’t Like – Once In A Blue

But this has all been one big distraction, for the moment everyone’s been waiting for has arrived. The 1-hour set is upon us as Logan tells us OG’s and some “special guests” are about to spit. Skepta popped up in my mind (something which later prompted me to do this weeks lottery).

The set starts and whilst I’m busy guessing who’s gonna turn up, the grandmaster himself Jendor jumps on the mic, tearing it up with his “Floor Them 3, 2, 1″ bars. logan_ogz_and_guests_8So After P destroys the popular Silencer beat (Wizard?) we’re joined furthermore by Roll Deep-ers J2K and Manga!!

Everything’s going well, the selection isn’t bad from Logan, who else is gonna turn up?? No one could’ve predicted dear old Trim popping up!! The 1st of many wheel ups from Logan, the next comes as P Money smashes up Royal-T’s “Mega”. We’re only 15 minutes into this set, I may need a new iPhone. Curry’s are gonna love me this week.
“You’re not ready / Bet you a tenner / Your’e unsure like English weather.”
Skepta is on the mic, shoddy Birmingham accent in-tow, firing shots at Devilman, to an enormous rewind from Logan with Jammer shouting “Woiiiii Oii” in the background. Oh yeah, Jammer’s here.

logan_ogz_and_guests_9The best bit (so far) comes as Logan brings in Next Hype, Blacks tears it apart. Trim’s pal Obese does his part before P Money absolutely murders this 1Up Remix. Half an hour in and this set has been intense. A few more people pass through including Young Ki and Desperado, but perhaps the most notable of those was  young Nottingham MC Fangol. 3 wheels on the same set of bars turned Kiss’ central London studio into total madness.

“Ain’t gonna let no girl wear my rolex / So you better hope that William’s here” – Fangol.

Everything went in at least once more before being joined by Lee Brasco towards the final minutes, he did quite well before Fangol returned and ended the set. The end was slightly disappointing, the poor guy carried on spitting until being interrupted by a Kelloggs breakfast advert!
Overall, not sure whether it was the best set of all time. but was by far the best Logan set in a couple of years, only one word to describe it:

EPIC.
