DJ Magic’s No Hats No Hoods CD (Free Mix)

21 August 2009 One Comment

magicartworkOne of grime scene’s unsung heroes (and yes we did just use that word) drops his first CD on the No Hats No Hoods label on Monday the 24th of August. Magic, who at the same time as DJing you might find helping artists progress, putting on some sick raves, networking extensively and dropping vinyl for the good of the scene, has put together a mix of classic grime tunes, specials for himself and previously unheard tunes for you lot. Available at HMV and UK RecordShop and all other good record stores its bound to be a hit.

Unsure about a purchase? Well, don’t worry, Magic sent the Grime Forum an exclusive preview mix of the CD to put on our Grime Podcast and you can download that from now by going to http://grimedigital.podbean.com and clicking download, or by signing up to the podcast by signing up on iTunes by clicking here.

The mix is hard and it starts off on a sick vibe with a tune from Frisco introducing the CD as a whole. Hear all sorts of artists from the scene shout out Magic and destroy tunes, especially C.Gritz tune on the CD which is especially hard. After hearing this, you’ll definately want the rest.

The notable feature of the CD goes to Ice Kid, probably the most demanded artist on the CD who provides a couple of tunes commonly unheard of.

The CD is out on the 24th of August and we’ll be catching up with Magic to discuss the impact he has had on the scene currently, and the impact he is going to have in the next couple of months so watch out for that!
