With his release having been out there for a couple of days, Grime Forum caught up with South London MC Little Dee to discuss all sorts in terms of his music to see whats going on with him at the moment.

If you haven’t got the CD yet, you can purchase it from HMV by clicking here!

Your last release was ‘Don’t Let the Name Trick You’, how did you feel that release was received?

‘Don’t let the name trick you’ was just a start up mixtape really, which allowed me to practice and learn how to put songs together and perfect my flow and content.* so really and truly anything that was on there was me trying out new stuff in the studio, but the end game was that ultimately more people heard of who I am and what I do.

What’s different with this release compared to the last one and have you tried anything new on it?

I feel that Once In A Blue is a lot more mature and versatile compared to my last release. Don’t Let The Name Trick You was more grime, whereas I think my new CD will reach a wider base while still having some solid grime tunes on there.

Which track from the release would you say was your favourite?

I don’t really have a favourite yet, but at the moment I’m feeling ‘Don’t Understand’ which is a tune I have done with with P Money and when his release drops we are going to drop a video for it as well. I have also done a video for “Say Something I Don’t Like” which is on the SB.TV and Grime Daily DVD coming soon. Finally I’m also going to make a video for the tune Electric Love featuring Wiley!

What’s the situation with the O.Gz, is there a new release coming soon, the first one was rated very highly on the forum?

Yeah we are still working together. The current project we are finishing is “Winter Season” which will hopefully be out for everyone to buy before Christmas.

If its anything like the first one, it will be good. Also, the scene has changed a lot over the last couple of years, who are the producers you like working with the most at the moment?

Yeah currently I like working with a lot of producer’s because they all have different styles and sounds and I don’t like too much of the same* but recently I been working with Davinche, Rude Kid, Target, Mega, Bless Beats and Slic Vic.

You touched the mic at FWD vs Rinse on the 31st of July, will we be seeing you at more events in the future?

Yeah FWD vs Rinse was a very heavy night, we need more turnouts like that in the scene, but you will definately see me alongside the O.Gz at more events in the future!

You and Dot Rotten had a few bars for each other earlier on in the year, which do you think delivered their bars better?

Haha! I’m not too sure you know.* I only listened to the Dot diss once.* But really though, Dot Rotten is good and he just needs to concentrate on his own career and stop watching everyone elses. But I do hope his music career picks up because he has definately got a lot of talent.

Who do you feel is the best white boy in the scene as there has been much speculation over the years and would you work with any of them?

In all honesty I don’t really look at colours in this music thing, we all do the same music and plus it wouldn’t be an achievement to be the best white MC because there are not that many of us in the game. But the white guys I am feeling are Devlin, he’s fucked and I’d like to work the The Streets as well.

Any shouts to people who have helped you with this release?

Yeah I want to send a shout out to all the Grime Forum, Grime Daily, SRD and Cheeky everytime!

Which other release are you looking forward to this year?

P Money – Money Over Everyone, Blacks – Sick Individual and the Blue Magic Hip Hop CD.

Anything else you want to promote?

Yeah, let people know about my Twitter at http://twitter.com/littledeemusic
